Bali Villa Djodji

What a stunning villa, what an amazing host, and what a delightful infinity pool with jungle view! The photos can't even capture the true beauty and magic of the place. The gorgeous bedrooms, terraces, and various living spaces are all oriented towards the wild nature. For breakfast, we usually chose the balcony a bit further down, where you’re literally hanging above this piece of rainforest. An indescribably beautiful experience to eat with the family surrounded by tropical wilderness, with birds singing all around and little creatures climbing nearby. If you're lucky, even some monkeys might show up. The amenities are top-notch, including super-fast Wi-Fi, excellent air conditioning throughout, and outdoor showers with water filters. The incredibly kind private staff, who are literally available for you day and night, complete the experience and are truly an added value. You don’t have to worry about a thing, and if there's any issue, it's solved immediately. We have so much respect and admiration for them. Driver Wayan is optional but highly recommended if you want to explore the island a bit further. He’s slightly more expensive than a taxi, but he's reliable and even acts as a guide if needed. We visited i.a. the Puppet and Mask Museum nearby and the Flamingo Beach Club in Keramas—both fantastic. Also, little rain in April, and the short showers mostly happen at night.

Nothing. Everything was perfect. As in a wonderful paradise-like tropical dream.

Look no further! Fantastic villa with beautiful infinity pool and garden overlooking the jungle, beautiful rooms and caring help! Made and Lila ensure that you lack nothing during your stay. Breakfast was delicious and we ate in the villa most evenings. There was a choice of various dishes for both breakfast and dinner. We also had massages at home at a fair price. Wayan Astawa was our driver during our weeks in Bali. He consulted with us about nice routes, he reserved activities for us if necessary, always had a bottle of water for everyone in the car and drove safely in the very busy traffic on the island. In short, we had a wonderful time at Villa Djodi!

Ideal place for stay in Bali! Close to Ubud yet beautifully situated in the jungle with the infinity pool from where you can admire the view. The staff was super nice and helpful with everything every day :) The entire villa is clean and well maintained and you can even order a massage to be done in the garden! Food is also very good, especially the egg dishes for breakfast. We have enjoyed our stay very much, thank you :)

Our stay at Villa Djodji was absolutely perfect. The house itself is a gem, in a beautiful natural setting. Housekeepers Made and Lila and driver Wayan were all exceptionally helpful and friendly.

This is a gorgeous villa in a beautiful quiet spot over looking the jungle and a river valley. It is a couple of miles away from downtown Ubud which meant it was lovely and quiet. The pool is fabulous with a view out over the jungle. The included breakfast was amazing with the banana pancakes being the best we had in the whole stay in Bali. We had it served every morning at the table under the umbrellas in the garden. The rooms were all beautifully designed with comfortable big double beds in 3. The bathrooms were clean and tidy with outside showers. The air-conditioning worked really well. The villa staff could not do enough for us. The villa manager - Henriette, helped us to organise a driver for our stay. The villa staff, Made Madu and Lila were amazing. They couldn't do enough for us - including making us lunch and dinner at short notice a couple of times. We also organised a cooking class at a nearby villa called Ubad Ubud Cooking Class which I can highly recommend. We were sad to leave the villa and will definitely return.

The only tiny thing that could make it even better is if there was one more sofa in the living room downstairs and more comfortable chairs upstairs. This would have made the evenings more comfortable when we were inside.

Staff could have made it from beautiful to absolutely “amazing” but they didn’t manage. The couple seem to be there at your service but really they are only there to look over your shoulders. They make breakfast and prepare the rooms. Other than that, anything we asked, had to come along with comments: We asked for laundry and Lilia firstly told me to go up the road and told me their clients never like to use the villa’s washing machine. His wife even informed my wife that her clients usually bring their own iron with them!!! I was late to get back one evening so I asked for a few carrots, courgettes, yogurts, and a mango to Lilia that told me to go find myself as the supermarket was too far for him too!!! I had to ask Lilia to make the rooms on a few occasions. He replied that he waited for us to leave… meaning the room remained untouched for the whole day! I expected them to tidy up some things our baby left around, but no, nothing was touched! When going into the kitchen, I would always find them there on their phones, and whatever we did, they would stand there watching over us… All this felt very uncomfortable! When checking out, I informed them both about their ways and that I was not happy with their attitudes. Even then I nearly got verbally attacked. They told me that I was the one with a problem. How dare them even try to say something like that. I wasn’t going to write a review until that happened. Shame on them!!! They have no clue how much we were ready to spend and should have just taken my comments on board, but no, when walking away, I heard them even laughing loudly behind my back! How disappointed I was for a place that cost nearly 400€ per night for 3 adults and a baby. This was our 4th villa on our 2 month break, and easy to compare with the other ones that came with staff too. I hope the owners will be fair with this review and look into it correctly.
