Villa Sujati

Really huge private yard with big pool and a spacious house. Several different spaces outside to relax. Beautiful traditional house which had a brand new grass roof when we stayed. Lovely and helpful staff. Down a scooter access lane so very quiet. Many great restaurants within a couple of minutes walk.

Being an old property it has a few quirks as such. Downstairs was a little musty so we all slept upstairs. We enjoyed the 5 minute walk down the lane though this may be an issue for some.

generally a nice property in a good location. good sized pool and large bedrooms, very spacious. good AC.

large property however poorly maintained. The shower was broken throughout our time there. there was a leak in the toilet. there were doors unable to be locked properly and the blinds were also unable to be shut properly. the pool often had lots of debris and the wifi worked intermittently.

the villa itself is amazing. all timber. very spacious and full of character. the grounds enclosed, large and were very well kept and beautiful. staff on hand 24/7 next door (a bell ring away). food can be ordered to your room. nice view from the room of rice paddies, palm trees and village life. located on a small lane (no vehicle access) which you can explore with food options from local warungs to modern japanese. supermarkets, laundry, taxis, etc all close-by.

no vehicle access to villa (5-10 min walk from taxi drop-off area). pool was cloudy so we didn't swim. some structures in the rear yard are a little run-down and need maintenance.

Historical vintage feel, massive space rooms especially the master bedroom which has amazing balcony views to see the sunrise, swimming pool, complimentary breakfast with friendly staff, two bathrooms convenient for our group of 4. Getting a scooter ride from accommodation to the carpark thanks to staff. The short walk from carpark to the villa was nice and peaceful, we pass by rice fields and other villas nearby.

Shower hose was not long enough and shower head placement was hard to adjust. Giant ants in the bathroom. House looked worn out, one of the steps were broken, dusty. No privacy upstairs as the curtains are see through. You're not able to get picked up/dropped off right next to accommodation as the small space only allows scooters or walking to get to the villa, this in inconvenient when you have lots of luggage or when someone is sick.

The hosts at Villa Sujati were lovely. Very attentive and welcoming. The villa is this amazing 70's style Bali villa on a very large block (which is unusual for Ubud).

The place smelled like no one had been in there for a very long time. When we closed the curtains we were showered in a layer of dust. I have a dust allergy so I therefore had to find other accommodation. I let the hosts know so hopefully they have done something about this. The pool was so strongly chlorinated we stank of chlorine for hours afterwards. There was no hot water in the downstairs bathroom, only upstairs. So disappointing because there are the most beautiful bathtubs in the villa! This place is situated towards the end of a dead end road. Cars cannot drive up to the villa, only motorbikes. We had 2 young children with us and the weather was torrential rain while we were there. It was difficult for us to get our kids and our bags there. The roof leaked on us when we were there -the host said they are planning to get it fixed. The beds were not very comfortable. We were provided one pillow each. I was pregnant at the time - I needed many pillows to sleep comfortably.

The room is very big and clean, the bathroom are amazing, the pool are very nice, the staff are very helpfull and always smile, the breakfast so yummy 😃

The plate and glasses in kitchen is very limited, the distance from car parking are pretty far but no problem if you using/ rent a scooter

The location was quiet but still only minutes away from smaller shops or restaurants via quick walk or scooter. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. The property is very large, consisting of two floors in the house and a private, outside pool with a breakfast area and an elevated balcony. The outside is very picturesque and well maintained.

It's an older house and the inside (for us) didn't lend itself to hanging out or working due to a lack of furtniture and rather poor lighting. Overall, the state of amenities (upstairs AC, toilet, shower, etc.) warrants some maintenance.
