SaffronStays Suvarna Sangam riverfront villa with boat rides, candlelight dinners & backwater views in Udupi

Well maintained property with ample space to walk around and decks near the river to relax. Very sweet staff who gave us good recommendations and also prepared very tasty food. The rooms are very clean and beautiful. We were the only ones staying while we were there so we could use all the free space and all the time.

It’s a bit tricky to get to the property especially in the night. We could still manage it so young travellers should not have problem. Another issue was, there are other resorts close by so sometimes if they have some events happening then they will blast music. When we stayed it went on till 11pm.

The stay, location, hospitality, food everything was perfect! Would definitely recommend this stay to others and would also come back on my next visit. Absolutely loved my time in this stay.

It a beautiful property in the midst of coconut plantation, providing a rustic experience. We loved the quaint setting of the property and would certainly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an unique experience. The manager Manoj was extremely helpful in guiding us with local sightseeing options.

Wish that the river coast was suitable for swimming, diving

Food was delicious - the ladies in the kitchen (Pushpa and Meenakshi) did an outstanding job with every meal we had over the 3 nights’ stay. The locale was awesome - very serene and scenic. The rest of the staff (supervisor Manoj and assistant Kumar) were also very helpful and polite.

Few minor suggestions: 1. Include fresh fruits in the breakfast menu; 2. Provide more regular chairs in the rooms to sit back and relax (period furniture like ‘easy chairs’ and straight-back wooden chairs were very nice for decor for sure); 3. Provide more hooks/rails in the bathroom

I loved the food and the staff. The place has amazing view and really good spaces to chill. Super calm and silent.

I was little disheartened when I saw the room. I was looking forward to having a balcony which was shown when I booked the place but upon arrival, was given a room a little smaller and with no balcony space. After paying a lot of money, it felt I was cheated. But once I had the first meal and walked around the property, I felt very happy.
