Villa Anemelia by Rodostamo Collection

Location was great. Short walk to beach with a great restaurant. Easy to hire a boat to drive around. Pool and bbq are were also really nice. Amazing view.

The water ran out on second night. Had to wait until following g afternoon for the water truck. Then it ran out again on 4th night, the water truck turned up as we were leaving.

The view was spectacular. I love Corfu, having travelled there for many years and stayed in lots of places on the island, so this villa was a clear winner in terms of visual location and accessibility with a large car (car hire is absolutely vital). However, the location wasn't great for party noise and neighbours. The bass sound reverberates around the hillside and you can actually feel it thumping! Evenings on the balcony weren't at all peaceful thanks to the nearby club and partying neighbours (well into the early hours). Externally, the villa is traditional and pretty. Villa/pool cleaning and refreshment was regular and good. Internally, there was a lovely amount of airy space that was cool and pleasant. The rooms were reasonably comfortable and cleaned well but the villa is VERY shabby and down-trodden (nowhere near as luxurious and polished as the photos with all the sofas, comfy chairs, plants, cushions and fancy bedding - MUCH more basic). The pool gets a balanced amount of sun and shade, which is really nice for water temperature. Provision of mosquito machine plugs was useful.

Having to detour to Rodostamo to pick up the keys was very inconvenient. We were welcomed by staff very well but just a key code for the front door would have been adequate. The hot water didn't work for the first 1.5 days but once reported, it was soon sorted. However, this should have been checked as part of the villa turnover. The air conditioning in the main bedroom was faulty and leaked a lot everywhere. This has clearly happened before judging by the missing wardrobe plinth and the serious signs of water damage on the furniture and bed. One of the shower rooms was a wet room - VERY wet - even for a 30 second shower. It leaked into the corridor. The pool area hadn't been tidied up very well - some rubbish and a plastic cup left behind. The villa isn't anywhere near as nice as the photos. The kitchen is very shabby (broken/missing shelves in the fridge) and urgently needs replacing (not even a plug for the sink), the curtains are unhooked and hanging off the rails (it looks so tatty and messy), and the wardrobes in the main bedroom are broken. It needs some serious TLC and maintenance to bring it up to a basic standard. There was nothing in the villa to welcome us - not even a bottle of water. Every villa we've stayed at on the island has provided water on arrival (and much more, which was always a lovely surprise). Other villas have also left the previous occupants' basic cooking supplies such as bottles of olive oil and vinegar or salt and pepper. (Anything sealed and reusable.) It seemed like an awful waste (and very harmful environmentally) having to leave behind almost a full bottle of olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper, fruit, bottles of water, some unopened Amita orange juice, a couple of Corfu beers and some ice creams in the freezer - all the time knowing that they would just be thrown away. The noise from nearby clubs and neighbours' parties is horrendous.

Great location, beautuful view and comfortable house.

Great villa with plenty of space. The outside area with the pool was great with lots of sunloungers. The villa is situated outside the town of Kassiopi and on a hilly road so a car is recommended. The views across the bay and of the Albanian coastline were stunning.

One of the downstairs shower rooms leaked a bit so we decided to share the other shower facilities but with 3 showers downstairs this wasn't a problem at all!

It was very clean, the kitchen was well equipped, the bathrooms are lovely, they even supply hand soap and shower gel. The bathrooms have been refurbished, are very modern and are not like the photographs on the website. Also there are 3 bedrooms downstairs and 1 upstairs. Plenty of wardrobe space especially in the main bedroom, there are hairdryers, a washing machine and an iron. It is a lovely spacious Villa with amazing views, we’re really happy, it was much better than we expected.

Nothing wrong with the property, but a car is definitely needed the roads to it are quite bad but nothing worse than anywhere else on the island

1980's bathrooms - shower heads from taps, shower curtains. Patio & pool area is in the shade most of the day. Plumbing very noisy. Needs completely refurbishing
