Sweet Orange Pondok

We decided to stay in one place for our 3 week vacation in Bali! After much research we chose Sweet Orange Pondok and boy did we win the lottery! The place is nestled in rice fields and jungle. No road but they send a motor bike to central parking for an adventurous ride on a developed path. So this means no traffic or noice which is a welcome reprieve from chaotic Ubud. It's only a 10 minute hike on Secret Rice Paddy trail and you're in downtown Ubud. The place is like heaven on earth. Fountains, a large organic garden and the salads are delicious. Every morning we ate breakfast looking at butterflies, koi fish and fat lizards scurrying about. Beautiful Putu the owner has put her soul in the place and it's impeccable. Each villa has a porch with a view near the infinity pool. The bed is comfy and the bathtub large with unlimited hot water so I gave myself several personal spa treatments. Lots to do in the area and we met fellow travelers and rented private cars to see the sights. I can't say enough about how special energy of this place is.. We are world travelers and we can say with all honesty that our favorite thing in Ubud was Sweet Orange Pondok!!!

Sad that we had to leave 😢.

Very nice location within walking distance of the Ubud centre. Absolutely great breakfast. The staff is very kind and helpful! We actually extended our stay, because we liked it so much.

Splendido posto situato tra le risaie. Camera fantastica e colazione inclusa fresca e abbondante. Staff gentile e premuroso. Buona anche la cena

Non c'era scritto da nessuna parte che l'hotel non è raggiungibile con l'auto. Infatti il taxi ti scarica in un determinato punto e poi devi continuare con gli scooter dell'albergo. Il problema è la sera tardi: l'hotel ti garantisce un'andata e un ritorno al giorno, ma il servizio termina alle ore 21. Abbiamo dovuto scaricare un'app per richiedere uno scooter. Di sera tardi fare la strada a piedi non è consigliabile. Per quanto riguarda l'appartamento, pur essendo molto grande, mancano gli appoggi per i vestiti.

Large villa room. Great pool, air conditioning, wifi. Attached restaurant plus three cafes within a hundred metres. Short walk to town. Beautiful setting in the rice fields (fireflies!)

I stayed in two different rooms here (booking clashes). I would review the other room but booking.com have added a photo to my review that isn’t mine and I can’t delete it. What is with that booking.com?

Belle emplacement a 10min a pied du centre d’Ubud. Équipe au au petit soin Possède un restaurant avec des mets délicieux 😋 Vous pouvez vous y rendre les yeux fermés.

L’emplacement au milieu des rizières est magnifique L’équipe toujours très disponible et serviable

L’accès en scooter est mal indiqué sur les GPS type Google. Une prise anti-moustique dans la chambre serait appréciable

Idyllisch gelegen tussen de rijstvelden, slechts op 5-10 minuten lopen van het drukke centrum van Ubud. Heerlijke ontbijtjes en superlekker en vers Balinees eten, vriendelijke en behulpzame staf. Lekker slapen en zo van je villa in de infinity pool. Om helemaal zen van te worden.

De rustige ligging en toch vlakbij het bruisende centrum van Ubud. Het personeel is super vriendelijk!!
