Camaya Bali - Magical Bamboo Houses

Esta foi a nossa terceira vez no Camaya e a segunda vez na casa Metangi, que continua a ser absolutamente a nossa favorita. É um lugar verdadeiramente único no mundo, perfeito para quem aprecia a natureza no seu estado mais puro. A paisagem é de outro mundo - há momentos em que o tempo parece parar e nos sentimos meros espectadores da obra do Criador. A casa é extremamente confortável e, como sempre, tivemos a visita encantadora dos animais da natureza, o que torna a experiência ainda mais autêntica e especial. É um refúgio ideal para quem procura conexão, paz e inspiração. A equipa é maravilhosa: atenciosa, simpática e sempre disponível. Fazem-nos sentir realmente em casa, como se voltássemos a um lugar onde pertencemos. Sem dúvida, um dos lugares mais mágicos onde já estivemos. Voltaremos sempre que pudermos!

遗世而独立的峡谷，对面远眺稻田，小村落宁静。虽然我们预定的是最便宜的小别墅，但是依然得到了用心的服务。无论视野，还是餐品都很不错，屋内整洁，也是在巴厘岛睡过最舒服的床！早上还有青蛙或者小鸟叫醒你。也有鲜花提供露天浴缸。还有桑拿房和spa。

Impressive location, but serious management problems The location is truly magical and the view leaves you speechless. The room facilities were satisfactory and, overall, the accommodation has a lot of potential. However, our overall experience was overshadowed by significant issues in organization and service. The breakfast was particularly poor considering the cost of the stay. In addition, I find it unacceptable that guests are required to choose what they will eat from the previous day; personally, it is not possible to know the night before what I will want to eat in the morning, and this stressed me out for no reason. As for lunch and dinner, there are no alternatives other than the hotel restaurant, as the area is located about an hour away from any other option. Therefore, the quality-to-price ratio did not satisfy us. The first night there were many mosquitoes and, at 22:00, we requested via WhatsApp —the only available communication channel, despite the claim of 24-hour support— an anti-mosquito spray. We never received any response. As a result we were fighting with mosquitoes the whole night. Furthermore, we were informed that the use of drones by guests is not allowed except for a very limited time period (08:00–09:00), with the excuse that it affects the privacy of other rooms. However, in the activities menu there is an option for photography/videography with a drone by the hotel staff at any time of the day. This gave us the impression that the restrictions are purely for profit-making reasons. Shame.

The most serious incident, however, concerns the safe. The first morning, after returning from breakfast —and during breakfast, since we would be away from the room, they asked for the key so they could go in to clean— when we came back and I went to take my things from the safe, I noticed that it had been “unlocked” and showed an unknown code. A technician was called to reset it, with the explanation that supposedly the batteries had died — something that is not true, since the safe was functioning normally. Later we discovered that €50 were missing from my wife’s wallet. We realized it immediately, as we knew exactly the amount we had with us from a recent withdrawal before our arrival in Bali in euro €. Someone opened the safe and removed only a single banknote “€50”, obviously thinking it would not be noticed. But it was noticed, because we came from another hotel and had checked our money and our belongings when leaving the safe of the previous hotel. When we informed the manager, we only received vague excuses and it was implied that the money was lost somewhere else. There was no real willingness to investigate the incident, which ruined our mood from the very first day. Reading later through the reviews, we saw that similar incidents have happened in the past. In summary, the accommodation is located in a beautiful place with a unique view, but the management and the service need immediate and substantial improvement. We recommend great caution with your personal belongings and realistic expectations regarding the services provided. A pity, because the place has tremendous potential, but the overall experience does not match the cost

The villa is even more beautiful in person! I felt so close to nature, and the whole ambiance was incredibly relaxing. Kudos to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable and comfortable, they were quick to attend to all our requests. The food was delicious too, especially the babi! I would definitely recommend this place. Totally worth the price!

The place is incredibly beautiful but there is nothing to do, I asked several times to organise my birthday dinner, following upon our arrival we asked to do massages and they said it was fully booked, but when we had a walk and we went to the Spa it was empty. For each request that we asked it was a No, if the staff was more organised and helpful to satisfy the clients with the requests this place can be 10 out of 10.

We didn’t like the dinner for my birthday party, the decorations were nice, but the food was average, didn’t meet my expectations, we specifically asked no onions in few plates the food came with cooked onions. The staff that was serving the plates were really nice and is not them fault, but the chef didn’t collaborate to make this dinner special from the day that I sent a message a month before.

The accommodation at Camaya Bali is like a story that you would never want to end. We stayed 2 nights at the Suboya villa. A villa with a gorgeous view of the rice fields, you have 2 beds, one outdoors and one indoors, depending on how brave you are, you can try sleeping outdoors. There are indeed small bugs around, but you can stay calm, you are safe. Everything is clean, comfortable beds, very kind staff. The breakfast brought to the accommodation is wonderful and tasty. Once you stay in this place you would not want to leave. For dinner, you also have a restaurant where you can have dinner, the menu is not very varied, but with very good food at affordable prices for the place where you are. The 2 days were a dream. Thank you!!

The only thing that might bother someone would be the road, it is harder to get to the location. You can't get there with a "GRAB", you have to take a transfer from the village from the locals, which will be a bit more expensive
