Madara Ubud Villas

Breakfast was amazing, great latte!

Positive: - The staff are all so friendly and helpful. I have never felt so welcome in a villa/hotel before. They deserve more than 5 stars! - located very close to the main road, but far enough for you to fell comfortably away from the town noise - breakfast was very tasty, but not very big portions. They are very flexible with the breakfast time request and were never late. They always call 10min before to make sure you are ready to let them in - big bathroom with loads of space for our stuff. The shower had very good pressure.

Negative: - the bathroom smelled a bit of mould due to poor ventilation when the doors are closed (had to stay that way to avoid mosquitoes coming inside) - Kitchen area is very small, but we never had the intention to cook, it wasn’t a problem for us, but worth mentioning - AC was a little noisy (sounded like a windy storm. Somewhat like a white noise). It also doesn’t get colder than 16 degrees.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The villa was everything we had hoped for and the food was excellent.

Beautiful villa and pool! So peaceful and private. Great to relax after the busy town! It’s up a 15 minute narrow (1 1/2 car width) roadway. Gojeck drivers will go up there though. If you are older and it’s really hot, you’ll probably need to get a driver for every trip. It’s about NZ $5 to $7 to places in town and easy to book a driver on the app. Younger folk might walk it.

Tiny thing - I would like hand towels and facecloths in the bathroom.

Villas were amazing!! Very clean, staff were very helpful and friendly .. we will be back

Nothing!! The only thing I would suggest is a small clothes rack outside to hang your wet things on :)
