Modern Private Villa Atala with Private XL Pool

The pool was beautiful. Very spacious rooms and bathrooms. We did have a last minute person decide to come, so we did ask for an extra bed, which was provided.

There was no mention nor photos of there also being an indoor pool on booking.com, and as we were travelling with children, this was unsafe (we did hire a pool fence). The bed configuration on booking.com was different compared to what it actually is. On booking.com it states bedroom 3 as a large double bed with 2 futons, but there were not any, which ment 2 of our guests were without beds. I read the other reviews about the dogs barking and assumed it was just 1 or 2 dogs barking every now and then.. boy were we wrong. Its about 7 dogs barking CONSTANTLY. Literally all day and night. The location also isnt great, if you are planning on just staying at the villa its fine, but there isnt much within walking distance, and even that is if you want to brave the many street dogs (some of which are quite aggressive). There is also no aircon in the main part of the house and while we were there, it was unbelievably humid. No aircon made it almost unbearable to sit in the lounge room comfortably and the small ceiling fans that are there have no controls, so no way to turn it up either.

The property was stunning and looked exactly like the pictures you see on Booking.com

the villa itself was beautiful

the location was horrible, you get chased by the neighbours dogs as they try to attack you. one night someone tried to break in and our villa owner played it off like it was nothing. the cleaner came everyday but did not clean properly. never got fresh towels or toilet paper. the owner was asking us to pay more money in cash which is illegal and all payments should be done through booking.com. our first night there all electricity stopped working

the location isnt the best, nothing within walking distance although getting taxi and drivers was very easy
