The staff came to our room to clean up but left the door open! (Luckily nothing was stolen but this is not acceptable, we feel unsafe)

The military police came in and shut the hotel down and started demolition whilst we were in our room. Will send an email with videos as we will be pursuing a refund

Hotel needs a lot of maintenance, the room was rundown and had no privacy. Want to say the staff are great! Very professional, accomodating and kind. But the experience in the Venice Suite was disappointing. There is no solid wall between this room and the neighbouring room. We could hear all conversations, music, movement and bathroom use from next door for all hours of the night because there is no actual wall or soundproofing - this also meant there was no privacy. The jacuzzi tub is very old, and visibly deteriorating. The jets don’t work and the hot water system isn’t strong enough to actually fill the tub… so we couldn’t use it at all. It was also dirty when we arrived. The outdoor shower is located right next to a walkway, and although it has one side of frosted glass it still felt very exposed with constant foot traffic around it. We couldn’t shower without wearing something to cover ourselves. The sheets on the bed had several stains on them, we also received stained towels each day. You can’t lock the three balcony doors so there’s no way to completely lock the room and ensure belongings are 100% safe. Someone could easily jump onto the balcony and get into the room. The balcony area connects with the neighbouring room separated only by a bamboo curtain. Again zero privacy. The location of the accomodation is great, and again the staff are wonderful. But there were so many problems with the room. Between the lack of privacy, not being able to sleep with the noise, being unable shower comfortably/take a bath, or lock all the doors for what you pay to stay here it was extremely disappointing.

Lots of small maintenance issues like leaking roofs and toilets not flushing. Food was quite poor and sometimes incorrect. Construction noise from the same building even on weekends.

Our suite was very cluttered and furniture that clearly was not used for a long time
