Michelangelo Beach Villa

We liked everything, it exceeded our expectations.

The Villa was beautiful and very clean - just like the pictures. The host John is amazing, very friendly and helpful. Made reservations for us, helped with a rental car and great recommendation on places to see and eat. The food left for us was good and enough for breakfast. The view is beautiful as the Villa is on the water and has a wonderful view of the sunrise.

The villa is secluded and you need a rental car if you want to get around the island. There is nowhere you can walk to as you are off the main road and there are no pathways to walk - it is more like a highway on the island where cars are traveling pretty fast. There is nothing around the villa anyway to walk to. It's the right place for you if you like privacy and seclusion. It was not what we thought we booked.

It is a beautiful house, right on the ocean. A beautiful sunrise in the morning. The house is spacious, and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was well appointed. The check-in was easy. John met us at the house and showed us around. He had brought a starter kit with a milk carton, cereal, yogurt, jams, a loaf of bread, a water bottle, a bottle of wine. This came very handy! He kept in touch while we were on the island and helped us with our questions. The location - it is in Oia, but on the other side away from the domes, etc. The house is kind of by itself, in the middle of nowhere. It's not necessarily negative, just to be aware of when booking. The surroundings were totally safe, and the house is quiet and beautifully situated on top of a beautiful beach. The only thing is that if you are expecting the typical Santorini view of white houses with blue tubs all around you on the sloping cliff, this is not it. Once we got over that, we really enjoyed the house, the view and the quiet.

We were informed that the hot tub may not quite heating up very well to sit in on an April evening. Also, it was very small - probably would fit one person sitting up. The pictures in the listing are true to reality, but they make the space look bigger - especially the tub.

Exceptionally beautiful and spacious home on the beach with beautiful views of the sea. Working with Maria was incredibly easy and she was very helpful with setting up transfers and tours.

It is located about a 10 - 15 minute drive from Oía, and taxi drivers are not very familiar with the area. It took a little bit of effort to get around.

You have to climb a bit of stairs to get to the Villa which is on the second floor. And even though it’s a two bedroom the second bedroom is a flight of stairs to a loft that’s open. Not for people with walking issues. The host did meet us and bring our bags up the stairs initially though.

The host was amazing, he helped us finding our way around Santorini he also gave us a lot of recommendations for shops and restaurants which were very good. The Villa was very clean and filled up with all necessary stuff. The hosts were very kind to prepare a fridge full of food for us and also a complimentary wine bottle.
