Umah Sunset

We stayed at Umah Sunset Villa with my husband and toddler and it was an absolute gem. The villa is about 15 minutes from Ubud's city centre, close enough to explore, but far enough to feel completely away from it all, surrounded by stunning rice field views. The highlight for us was the infinity pool at sunset. The colours over the fields were breathtaking and we found ourselves there every evening without fail. The villa itself is spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained, which is exactly what you want when travelling with a little one. The staff were genuinely warm and attentive without being intrusive, and that made such a difference. Travelling with a toddler can be unpredictable, but the relaxed atmosphere and thoughtful service made everything feel easy and stress-free. If you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful base in Bali, especially as a family, this is it. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Staying at the Joglo was a dream. The Joglo is a work of art beautifully built and curated by the owner, Ngakan. It was a perfect open air and connected to nature experience with stunning views of the awesome pool, working rice fields, garden and the sunset from the comfy lounge day bed. The lovely entryway is also worth mentioning with the pond of Koi fish that loved to be fed. But what made this stay really special was the kind and attentive owners, Ngakan and his wife, and their staff that makes you breakfast every morning. The owner also gave us great restaurant recommendations like Bebek Bali Ubud, one that you can walk to from the house, and view spots like the Sayan Point and arranged for a driver, Nyoman, who was just as kind. Located in Ubud about 20 min from the hustle of Ubud center, this place is ideal for first time or returning Bali visitors. Couldn’t recommend this place more.

We loved watching the geckos especially in the evening, but for some may not appreciate architecture that invites the outdoor in, this may be a challenge. Also, we didn’t experience a lot of mosquitos, and the owner went out of his way and installed mosquito bed canopies for us. While there was some burning from the rice fields at times in the morning, we didn’t experience an overwhelming smoke.

I still can't get over our stay in this villa. The view is magical, the ricefield and the sunset is beautiful. We're totally trapped inside the villa and never wanted to leave. Too bad it was only one night, as it was our last day holiday. The staffs are very helpfull and accommodating. We love every details in the villa and the sound of the nature in the morning, so quiet and peaceful. I really wish we could stay longer but will definitely come back again someday

La posizione è favorevole x le escursioni. La piscina è un’ottimo svago e relax dopo le escursioni. Le camere sono ampie con bagno grande e ben strutturato.

El mejor alojamiento en el que he estado en Bali una experiencia única e inolvidable para nosotros despertar en los arrozales con la piscina infinita no le falta un solo detalle tiene hasta un altavoz para disfrutar de la música mientras te relajas en la piscina, el estanque de peces en el salón todo ha sido maravilloso

Everything about the Joglo exceeded our expectations! It is incredibly beautiful and we were so sad to leave after our short stay. The best part was the owner and staff. They went above and beyond in every way to make our stay wonderful!

Amazing place, cozy common area, comfortable beds, amazing view to the rice fields. Close to the center, but feels like in a village;) Sounds of nature are so relaxing☺️ The host was super helpful, breakfast delicious 🤤

Umah sunset was absolutely stunning😍 The property is beautiful looking out over the rice fields. The art work and design in each room has clearly been thought out very well. The gardens are spectacular and both bathrooms have a beautiful outdoor shower with an amazing orchid plant in the inside area. The breakfast was delicious, cooked daily in the kitchen with our preferences❤️ The kids loved the pool and the homely feel it had. They loved feeding the fish too which is the main feature in the main living area. We communicated via whatsapp and Ngakan was very attentive and friendly. Kadek and other staff do a great job helping and maintaining the property. We toured Joglo villa next door (which is HUGE) and 2 newly built villas that will be ready later in the year for hire. If you dont want to be in the hustle and bustle book Umah sunset you wont regret it! We will definetly be booking Umah sunset again😊

Not a dislike - recommendation for possibly a doorbell.

Vše bylo perfektní...ani nevím kde začít . čekali na nás už 2 zaměstnanci a pomohli se zavazadly. Po ubytování přišel sám majitel a chtěl splnit každé naše přání . Vše bylo skvělé .....infinity bazén s výhledem na rýžová pole, 3 krásné ložnice , v obývacím pokoji navíc bazén s Koi kapry , pračka + sušička. V okolí výborné restaurace , hlavně Bebek restaurant . Nový Supermarket v docházkové vzdálenosti . Výborná snídaně na přání
