The Beach Shack

We loved the location, watching the beautiful sunrise from the front deck each morning and seconds to the beach. We spent many hours in the pool with the kids in between snorkelling and island adventures. The shack was peaceful with little noise. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was a convenient bonus for our stay.

The linen and towels were poor quality, old and stained. The air con and fans were turned off to the bedrooms while we were out and was hard to cool down in the heat of the day when we returned.

Amazing place! I just wish we could have stayed longer. Beautiful view, very nice swimming pool and the staff were simply great 😊

Nothing, everything was great!

The Beach Shack was our last week in Bali and we loved it. It was beautiful and perfectly located on the East side of the island carefully hidden to those walking past. The dip pool was perfect too. We loved lounging at the front and walking into the sea for a dip to see turtles.

We loved the location being right in front of the beach with great snorkelling and the sunrise. The villa its self is spacious with all you need for comfortable living plus kids play toys and climbing frame and a pool. The staff are quick to respond and help with anything you need. I highly recommend this as a great family space. This is our second time staying and we will look forward to coming back.

It's located next to a bar which has a great vibe and food and drinks and staff.. down part is the music can get a little bit to much during the day if are looking for a little peace and quiet. Music is done by 5pm. With the villa its needs all its snorkelling gear updated as none of it is functional and we had to hire which was an additional cost. Please update the snorkelling gear. Some more family/kids game would be nice to have too.

Great for kids, right on the beach, playground, lovely pool, snorkelling and reef right from the beach, quiet in the evenings, close to great food, lovely rustic trip with the kids.

The towels were very old and heavily used, they dont dry well in the humidity so needed to be changed every day or they smelt bad.

This property was perfect for Gili Air. The snorkelling out front is top notch and there are tasty restaurants and massages steps away! Our kids spent countless hours in the pool with all the thoughtfully provided toys. The caretaker, Dendy, was outstanding! He was so kind and polite and patient. He took our laundry to be cleaned and returned and he made sure we had everything we needed. Not only that, but when my friend lost her wallet and couldn’t find it before our boat left, he went out of his way to be super helpful in finding the wallet and returning it to a boat company to find its way to her in Bali! Nicest guy ever. We had such a great time there.

This place was amazing for our family. The location was perfect, beach right in front and the warung right next door had amazing food and would even bring us breakfast/lunch right to us on the deck of our house.The kitchen had great utilities and a proper coffee machine! The host was very good, and they were very quick to reply and respond. 100% recommend!

Only 1 small thing: Would recommend asking the host to have housekeeping come a bit later as sometimes they showed up quite early in the morning. But they were very friendly and respectful, and anytime we asked them to come back later they did.

Excellent location so near good snorkeling- we saw a turtle out front of the house on our first day! We loved the pool - lovely setting and private. Lovely large bathrooms. We didn’t see anywhere else on Gili Air where we’d have preferred to stay.

To be able to have the option of two single beds in the second bedroom would have suited us better, but the manager happily supplied some extra sheets for the spare mattress to be used on the floor by one of our kids.

The house is stunning, great layout and big bedrooms and bathrooms. The pool was perfect size for our family and a welcome break from the beach. Location is perfect, right on the beach and waking distance to many cafes and restaurants.

Everything was fabulous
