Tirta Villa

We are regular travellers to Indonesia and this one was a short three week getaway trip. We were in Sanur at Tirta villa for 10 days - the pool was a good size for swimming, rooms were spacious, there was a safe which we used, wifi was great, kitchen had all the usual items one would expect to see and the water dispenser which served hot and cold water was great. Our host was also very responsive and such a lovely person.

My partner and I stay in Villas almost everywhere we travel and we feel this Villa is tired and in need of a revamp - garden furniture is an uncomfortable 2 chairs and a small table, would like to see a comfy outdoor sofa/daybed. The taps in the house have hard water stains all over them and some are not fully attached to the unit - definitely time to change them or give them a good clean. There is also quite a bit of rust in a lot of areas which really do need cleaning. I did take photos of all these areas just in case someone disagrees. There was a large window in the main bathroom which was fully covered by a hard fly screen so it could not be opened - would be nice to have it open so that you could get fresh air into it. The path to the villa is very dark and in poor condition - we walked everywhere and at nights on our return, it was hazardous as it was not lit up - that's not the owner's fault but something to be aware of if you are not driving. Every day we went out and we had to walk across the extremely busy bypass which was sometimes dangerous and the road leading to it is also tricky as there is so much traffic with no, or little footpaths for pedestrians - just something to be aware of if you are not driving or riding a scooter.
