Thani Villa Ubud

This place is truly breathtaking! It is situated out in the middle of the Ricefield and even though it is just a short drive from a lot of activities in Ubud, it is incredibly private and peaceful and quiet. It has been exactly what my soul needs! It’s breathtakingly, beautiful! I love my private pool and my front terrace, and my hatched daybed with a beanbag chair. I love the tropical jungle style indoor outdoor garden. I love it that it really is an indoor outdoor living home! I love the full kitchen! In short, I love everything about it and I will absolutely return! 10 stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Awesome location in the middle of the rice fields. Very calm and relaxed. Very beautiful villa with nice pool. Extremely friendly owner who is always willing to help. Good food.

You have to pay in cash which is a bit of a hustle given the fact you can get max up to RP 3M at once at the ATM.

The host Mr.Sentana takes very good care of the guests. We didn’t have to worry about anything during our stay whether it was related to the property or a day trip.

Villa is absolute gem for Nature-lovers - perfect climate without aircons and even fans, own water spring downstairs , amazing surroundings. Comfortable spacious open terrace area and bedrooms , showers under the stars...

* Place was Perfect for us, but not for everyone: a bit far from Ubud - each drive is whole adventure. * Offered by owner week-stay discount was less profitable than using booking com (in a view of points etc) - being in hotel marketing before this particular issue i never really understand:). Advise to discuss exact numbers if its important (in our case it was)

We loved Thani Villa. The property is great, set in a beautiful location between rice fields and jungle, with a beautiful spring and waterfall. The view into the jungle is mind blowing! Also loved the sounds of nature all around. The host, Sentana, was what made it best. You can really tell hospitality is his passion, and he’s such a kind and considerate man in general, with so much knowledge to share. He was incredibly accommodating, and offers great day trips, and can even drop you off in Ubud. On top of that, his wife cooks delicious breakfast.

The pillows looked a little mouldy and the sheets of the canopy smelt a bit like it too, but this might not be avoidable given it’s all open air and the humid climate.

This was one of the best stays I have ever had and we were sad to leave. Hidden among the rice paddies and lush jungle, away from the touristy throng of Ubud centre, it felt like a much more real experience of Balinese life. The owner Sentana is extremely kind, friendly and thoughtful and it was a privilege to meet him and to be shown around his local area by him. His wife is also a fabulous cook and we ate breakfast and dinner at the villa every day. I wholeheartedly recommend staying there.

So very glad to have stumbled upon this gorgeous private Villa. Thani Villa was just what we needed to unwind and recharge after the hustle and bustle of Legian. The perfect getaway for our family of 4. The Villa is well appointed and spacious, light and air filled, two separate bedrooms with 4 poster beds and mosquito nets, adjoining bathrooms with open air and very hot showers; perfect to scrub your worries away while gazing at the stars. There is no pool at the villa (yet), but Sentana was more than happy to drive us to nearby watering holes and waterfalls, local attractions and shops when we needed specific items, all while providing us with informative local history and tidbits as well as personal experiences and valuable knowledge of the area. Sentana is an Ubud local, he lives in his family home of 4 generations, where in his vast and beautiful garden he grows all of the organic produce that his wife lovingly prepares for guests, and sources all other food locally. We will definitely be back to stay again, and highly recommend this Villa to all who are looking for a private sanctuary surrounded by dense jungle and rice fields.

We had the most wonderful stay at Thani Villa. The villa was absolutely stunning and so peaceful and private. The setting is beautiful and it was a breathe of fresh air to get away from the hustle and bustle and relax in a lovely, quiet area like Keliki Kawan. We loved lounging in the pool and just sitting on the front porch watching the world go by, and refreshing in the outdoor bathroom after a hot day was just divine. We were welcomed and looked after beautifully throughout our stay, and nothing was too much trouble at any time. We were spoiled with yummy breakfasts and had an amazing dinner. We were very sad to leave - we hope we can come back soon!

The Villa was spacious and looks exactly as in the pictures. Has a very nice garden and swimming pool. Sentana (Owner) and his Staff were very helpful and engaging. The food was also fantastic, local and homemade by Sentanas Wife.
