Oemah Joglo Bali

This nice little villa is located in the fields and has just one direct neighboring villa that is just in the building. It has two very comfortable, air-conditioned rooms with two separate bathrooms, a nice little pool, an open kitchen with fridge and a drinking water dispenser. We really liked the outpost where you can sit especially in the light evening breeze with looks over the rice fields and banana trees. The best part is the wonderful housekeeper, Wayan! She is a very lovely host and provided us each morning with a nice breakfast! Yes, to get anywhere you need transportation, but with Grab this didn’t bring any difficulty for us. Wayan gave us some good advice for visits around Bali, esp. Ubud area and connected us directly with a driver who was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed every minute in our stay for nine nights and can recommend this accommodation to anyone who like us wants some privacy and a safe but quiet place. Bali has some very busy areas, so we were ever so grateful to come back to this wonderful place after trips to the hotspots of the island, even if it took us a while to get there due to the sometimes chaotic and jammed traffic. A nice little restaurant is located about five minutes away (by foot), as is a little super market that has everything for your daily needs. Also around the corner is the John Hardy (work-) shop for your jewelry shopping and the Five Elements Retreat which has a nice restaurant, too. We will hopefully come back there 😀

Beautiful setting, rooms were top spec and Sinarsih was most pleasant and a great cook!

Great location. I can hear the winds and birds and insects haha. Very cool during the day, room is comfy and comunal space is spacious. Our favourite is obviously the rooftop. We watched fireworks on New Year's Eve

Pool was a bit dirty and it did not turned on until 9am We had a blackout when we had dinner 🤣 super dark, but sky was pretty A lot of mosquitos but I think it's normal since we are in the middle of the fields

The bedrooms are clean

The pool are dirty, the plants in front of the pool are dying. The worst is the female staff. She made us breakfast at 8 am, and after we had our breakfast, she with her child sit and wait in the kitchen, She listened every single word from us, there is no privacy at all. Why she did like that? Just because we are local guest? At 11:30 we check out and she not help to carry our bag, so why she wait from 8 until 11:30? This is my first experience staying in private villa with the staff like that. For sure we will not stay or recommend. Very disappointed.

everything was very good ! I advice everyone to book it, it is in a quiet area near Ubud

the location was good, far from the noises and crowds of Ubud, the staff and the owner himself were very friendly and helpful

sometimes it was a bit noisy in the early mornings
