Cretan Kera Villa Heated Pool

A beautiful villa in a remote location that is perfect if you need to get away from a busy life. We really enjoyed the pool and the BBQ area for scenic sunrises and relaxed sunsets. The villa was equipped with everything that we needed during our stay, including charcoal for the BBQ, as well as toilet paper, toiletries and laundry detergent. We really loved that the hosts left us wine, raki, juice and Cretan sweets.

The kitchen was a bit small for the number of guests that we were. The pool was not heated. The beds were a bit small and the mattress was hard.

Die Lage war hervorragend, sehr ruhig gelegen und mitten in Olivenwälder. Simona, unsere Gastgeberin, war sehr hilfsbereit, äußerst gastfreundlich und sie hat uns alles sehr gut erklärt. Der heated-Pool wurde jeden Tag gereinigt und die gesamte Einrichtung ist in einem TOP Zustand

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und die Gastgeberin war sehr nett :) Der Pool mit dem Blick auf dem Berg haben uns gut gefallen. Danke :)

Wir waren insgesamt neun Personen, hierfür war uns die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall viel zu klein. Sie wirkte auf den Bildern viel größer. Es gab zwei Badezimmer, wobei ein Badezimmer nicht direkt mit dem Haus verbunden war.

We have stayed in this area before and it is an incredible location if you are looking for peace and solitude amongst a stunning landscape surrounded by nature and olive trees and mountains with the ocean nearby - if you walk up the hill you can see it. A beautiful vista. This Villa is absolutely gorgeous. A beautiful restoration of a traditional stone house with every modern convenience you would wish for. WiFi excellent, smart tv in every room, a big fridge freezer with treats - sparkling water, prosecco, raki and a wonderfully warm welcome from Simona. Everything you might need was provided. Copious toilet rolls, towels, soap etc. Plentiful extras including bedding and pillows. They have thought of everything. Beds were super comfortable! I saw a review that complained about the remoteness and the sound of wildlife like goats and chickens and other animals but this was probably the highlight for us! My son made friends with the passing cats and dogs. The pool is lovely, the view from the outside table is priceless. Kissamos has everything you might need. We would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you for a fabulous holiday Simona and Andreas. And for the really thoughtful gifts from the wedding you attended and letting us stay longer on our last day when we had a very late flight home. Nothing. It's perfect.

The place had a very pleasant interior and exterior design, with a calm ambience. Eating outside was a noteable experience having the view of the hills and nature. The pool area was clean and very well maintained. Everything was well put, the kitchen and grill area had everything that one may need and were fully functional. Simona was a very nice host, she gave us a lot of useful information before arrival and was always available for questions. She even invited us at a holiday celebration at the local church, where we listened to the Divine Liturgy, ate with the locals and admired the most beautiful sunset of our trip.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful location! Great hikes either walking from the house or a short drive away, dramatic mountains and lots of wildflowers (we came in April/May). We came with our 20 month old daughter and she loved seeing all the farm animals nearby in the village, the next door farmer let her come and see his chickens, rabbits and lambs at feeding time (and gave us fresh eggs!), and there is a small playground in the village too. Lots of outdoor patio space to run around and a lovely heated pool with a beautiful mountain backdrop. Not difficult to get to Kissamos to pick up supplies at a supermarket and the kitchen is exceptionally well equipped including dishwasher which made catering easy.
