C'est une maison traditionnelle japonaise. Il y a bien trois chambres : 2 à l'étage dont une en "enfilade" et la 3è est un espace, dans l'entrée, à privatiser le soir pour le couchage en faisant coulisser des panneaux. L'escalier est étroit et pentu. Le logement était propre avec un seul vrai lit sinon des futons. Nous avions une grande voiture qu'on garait à 3/4 mn à pied dans de petits parkings payant. Le chauffage marchait bien.

Great find, a fully equipped compact family home in a quiet residential area or Kyoto with slight boutique-y vibe: Surrounded by local, lived-in family homes, definitely an immersive experience rather than a tourist trap. Great locations, starting from walking distance up the Nijo castle, walking distance to the subway and the JR mainland stations taking you to the historic centre within minutes. Lots of shops (we recommend the Tokyo Coop supermarket) and eateries.

It was lovely to stay in a more traditional style house, it was lovely and clean and nice and warm with 2 air con units

We booked this accommodation as we had a car and thought it had a parking spot on the street but it means you need to find a spot to park on the street which had absolutely no where to park. If you have a car I don’t recommend here as we struggled to find parking
