Sari House Ubud villa

Fantastic place near the crazy Ubud center but without the nuisances from it. The place was very well looked after and the hosts were such a charming couple always willing to help out. Rent the scooter from them because they will give you super good price and flexibility to return it. Also ask for local food recommendations.

We were not bothered because we spent most of the day outside but Adil advised us that if you plan to do yoga, this might not be the place for you. The villa is located in a residential area where normal neighborhood noises such as kids playing occur or just people living their lives. Also, if you need total black out curtains for sleeping (not us), be aware the bedroom door leading to the balcony has only a see through curtain.

Our stay at Sari House was so wonderful! The hosts were incredibly attentive , generous and kind. The house and especially pool area/garden look much better than the pictures... The pool is great! Loved having a kitchen and the breakfasts were so generous. Staying here we experienced true Balinese culture and hospitality including a visit to the water temple on our last day. I loved all the offerings and the property was immaculate. Would definitely stay here again! Location also great - very short walking distance to Alchemy in Penastanan and lots of great warungs and restaurants. The bed was sooo comfortable! I loved all the fresh flowers which the hosts regularly replaced. Thank you Wayan and Adil.

Sometimes noise from neighbourhood as houses are quite close together and motorbikes going past early morning/late night. But compared to other areas of Ubud, this is a very quiet area! The bedroom was great with jungle views, but unfortunately the windows didn't open so the only option for sleeping was with airconditioning, which I don't really like. At times it was hard to communicate with hosts when we required privacy (due to language/cultural differences).

We absolutely loved our stay here! The villa is comfortable and clean and the pool and garden are very beautiful. Adil and Wayan were wonderful hosts. We picked this villa because of the reviews about the banana pancakes and they lived up to the hype! The hosts were generous with their time and recommendations, even preparing breakfast for us the night before we went on an overnight hike. We were able to rent the scooter and easily get around Ubud. The location was great, nice and quiet down the little path and away from the main roads.

Warm hosts, very friendly and helpful. The lady cooked us very tasty dinners.

Approach a bit tricky.

Perfect location! Wayan and Adil are lovely hosts and the breakfast was delicious.

There is no TV or satellite channels. The villa is located about 50 metres from main road. The car doesn’t go there. You have to walk from the main road.

Absolutely amazing hospitality- a family away from home. We were looked after at every point of our stay from check in to check out. Clean, comfortable and the daily housekeeping was exceptional. Anything we needed was promptly dealt with in minutes. We experienced a medical emergency during our stay and were looked after and helped every step of the way- thank you! Definitely recommend and look forward to staying here again :)
