Villa Rampada

Villa Rampada is fabulous, we had such a good stay there. It is very spacious and well designed. The 4 bedrooms are all nice with very comfy beds. Plenty of living space for 8 people. We loved that the hosts provided a seemingly endless supply of towels (bathroom and pool), coffee, toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets and washing machine liquid. I always pack these items as most villas only supply a few but could have left them at home for this holiday! The pool is fabulous,cleaned very regularly and the outdoor chairs and loungers are plentiful. The view from the balcony is beautiful. The hosts, Ana and Sinisa are great, always available on What’s App to answer any questions or to give advice on the local area. It was very hot while we were there so we probably spent a lot more time by the pool than we may normally do during a weeks holiday but we did venture out to see a few places. A couple of minutes drive down the hill takes you to Diklo and the restaurant Taverna which is excellent. You can swim in the sea. There’s a little shop selling basics. Pretty views of a marina and out to sea. You could easily walk it in 10 minutes or so but the hill back up was a bit too much in the 35 degree heat! You can drive along the coast road to Borik beach and there are several bars and restaurants along that road. Old town Zadar is a short drive or Uber ride away. We drove up to Nin which is a lovely town (wasn’t a fan of the beach there though despite its good reviews) and visited Vrsi which is pretty. We found a lovely quiet beach just before Petrcane however you had to drive through a disused army base or something to get there which isn’t pretty but the beach is nice and not loads of people. Plitvice is an easy 1.45 hour drive away and worth the trip. Villa Rampada is ideally placed to explore Northern Dalmatia. We will definitely be back as we haven’t seen everything we wanted to explore. We would have no hesitation at all in recommending Villa Rampada and the lovely hosts.

We liked everything! Well, there is a building project next door that isn’t the prettiest but there’s no building work between June and September so it’s not noisy.

The owners are the nicest people we have ever met. Everything was taken care of and the house is perfect. It was a perfect week! The house is also very close to Zadar (by car), and we loved it there. It’s a beautiful city with very old buildings and a stunning sunset.
