Hidden Palms

Spacious 3 bedroom villa. Nice community. Good Ac since it was very hot. Beautiful landscaping and nice pool. Nosara had a cool, chill vibe.

Booked it because it’s in 506 Tennis Center. Our villa was directly beside the hard courts. Played 1 hour tennis with a paid instructor because they/I couldn't find someone to play with during my 3 days there. Due to the extreme heat, highs of 38C, it’s only comfortable to play during certain morning or late afternoon hours. Courts were generally booked, so unavailable. This was a major disappointment. Dryer didn’t dry clothes. Blind covering patio door in a bedroom didn’t open, so room dark. Light in that bedroom fan didn’t work. Called maintenance, weren’t able to repair either. The kitchen was minimally stocked. Road into Nosara was mainly dirt and rough.

Large modern house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a fantastic setting with green flowery gardens, a small lovely pool and tennis and pickleball courts which we rented a few times. In total around 15 houses in the condominium. We stayed there for around a week and really enjoyed it. We had a car which made it easy to move around, but note that Nosara center and restaurants and beach is quite far away. Our neighbors however said they got around easily with a tuk-tuk and we saw several golf carts rentals. The house we got was reasonably well equipped, but towels were quite old and some plates were missing. Houses are built in around 2017 and in OK quality (not US/European quality). Management is super friendly and helpful, but a little laissez faire; around 10 spots/light bulps were not working, pool was not cleaning daily during windy days and full of leaves, etc. We would come back should we ever return to Nosara (and had an own vehicle).

The 506 Tennis Resort was a very nice property, although there was a lot of construction going on. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The grounds were always neat and clean and the pool was very nice. The house was large and the front porch was very nice. Furnishings were mostly nice.

The house we rented was not so nice. It was large and clean, but the amenities were lacking. The towels were old and stained. If you want to rent out your house, provide some nice towels. The TV was completely useless - no cable and no streaming available. The kitchen was severely lacking in tools for cooking. The only coffee maker was a French press, which was okay for us, but not really what most would expect. There were bugs everywhere - obviously no pest control was used. The safe was locked shut and we were unable to open it. The shower was luke warm at best. The toilets did not work well and we often had to open the tank to get them to flush/fill.

The apartment, veranda and pool were very nice when the construction project next door wasn't active.

Construction on the property next door went from 6:00AM to 6:30-7:00 PM. It was so loud that we could not even stand to stay on the property during the day. We could also hear it from inside the property with the doors and windows closed and the a/c on.

The villa was very nice, spacious, clean and comfortable

The kitchen utensils and dishes were incomplete, really bad quality, not even a paper towel or tea towel provided. We had about 13 pots but just one useless small pan in bad shape. For such a nice villa, one expects much better equipment and maintenance

We loved this spacious home. It was bright and open, the beds were comfy, the bathrooms were spacious (and there two of them so we didn’t have to share with our kids!), and it was very clean upon arrival. It was an easy walk and drive to town too. We were steps from the pool, which we loved! We sat on our patio watching the kids play for hours. Perfection.

With our kids, we definitely needed to drive to get to the beach. Super quick, but we’d hoped for a walk to the beach. I believe the description says it’s a 20-minute walk, which is actually true, but would be better to be omitted given that it’s just not by the beach.
