Maha Shanti Ubud Villa

The pool was nice and the staff were lovely. The rooms are large.

The rooms are dated and not overly nice to hang out it - probably a better spot just to base yourself and spend most of the time out in Ubud. They should put Aircon in the living area space and not just the room. It's a bit far from Ubud (which I knew before). The bottom floor rooms are dark, so I upgraded to room on the upper level. This wasn't an option when booking, and I had to pay extra, which should have been exposed as the photos show upper floor rooms witrhout making it clear they are a different room type.

Maha Shanti Villa is an absolute gem, perfectly situated in the middle of the rice fields, just 5 km south of Ubud. The moment you arrive, you feel a profound sense of peace and calm that is so rare to find. The villa offers an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle, surrounded by breathtaking greenery and the gentle sounds of nature. The swimming pool is nothing short of magical, with panoramic views of the lush rice terraces and the magnificent Mt. Agung in the distance. Waking up early to watch the sunrise over the volcano while sipping coffee by the pool is an experience I will never forget. Every moment spent here feels like a scene from a dream. The villa itself is beautifully designed, combining comfort with elegance and a sense of harmony that immediately makes you feel at home. Each room is spacious, tastefully decorated, and perfectly maintained, offering a sanctuary of relaxation after a day of exploring Ubud and its surroundings. The staff are warm, welcoming, and attentive, ensuring that every need is taken care of while maintaining a respectful distance that allows for complete privacy. Staying at Maha Shanti Villa is not just a holiday — it’s an experience for the soul. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already longing to return. If you’re seeking a peaceful retreat surrounded by natural beauty, this villa is the perfect choice. I love it very much.

Excellent friendly staff, beautiful view of the rice fields from the pool

The staff were very friendly and helpful! The villa was spacious, clean, and the bed was very comfortable.

Not the property’s fault at all, but its location is a little out of the way. There aren’t many restaurants or shops around. But it’s very easy to get a grab anywhere :) it was just 10/15 mins from the Bird Park and Bali Zoo which was great. The only other thing would be that by the pool there are only 3 sunbeds so if there are a few people out there at once, there’s not much room.
