Casa Stardust & cottages

I loved that casa stardust is in the middle of nowhere, very quiet and relaxing. It has the most beautiful gardens that go on forever, finding a new spot to relax in every day. Perfect relaxing/zen getaway! I loved the friendly cats within the grounds. Each cottage is different and unique. We stayed in the pepper tree cottage, which was cosy in the evening with a log burner. The swimming pool has a shallow and deep end. We used uber to get into the local town in which only cost about €6. Veronica and Agni are the loveliest most helpful people. The cottages are all within the same garden that you share with others but we rarely bumped into other people. We went end of April so probably quieter than summer time. This place has a magical feeling and I will most definitely be going back!

Beds were comfortable if a little damp. Shower pressure was brilliant.

Everything in it needs an upgrade. The entry gates that have a mind of their own. The main living room door lock is very difficult to open although the other doors are fine. I couldn't reach the crockery cupboards as they are so high up. Storage is an issue. Being in our 70s we need a little more in the way of home comfort.

Poor facilities, oven and grill had not worked for some time and was not repaired in our three weeks. For the majority of our stay we had no WiFi, or TV. For some periods we had no electric power and used torches. There are no smoke detectors and we woke up one morning to an electrical fire with flames shooting up the wall at the bottom of a narrow staircase that led to the bedroom.

We were staying in the honeysuckle cottage with our family. It's really a magic place, very stylish and a beautiful garden, where we picked fresh oranges for our juicer. The host is passionate about her job and really helpful, as well are the cleaners. You feel that they put a lot of effort in it.

Not really a downside, but it is good to be aware that the living room is not connected to the bedrooms (you have to go outside) and you have to make a fire to heat the living room. Maybe some more sustainable methods to warm the room would be a nice upgrade for the future, but most time of the year, you won't need it anyway.

One of the guests was a vile, abusive drunk - but not enough to ruin the stay, that’s how nice it is!

Tat warm without aircondition in our cottage unit, but the windows opened and a fan was provided. We also came in hot season. But the pool made up for it.

Nothing prepared us for the garden. It was so beautiful and mature with the most glorious trees and planting. We stayed in Honeysuckle cottage which was perfect for us. It was decorated artistically and thoughtfully and it had everything we needed including equipment in our kitchen to make dinner for the night we stayed. The bedroom was super comfortable too. We just loved hanging around the garden and sitting in the different areas watching the two resident cats enjoy the space too. We only wish we could’ve stayed longer.
