Villa Canan Paradise

The individual pool was good for private floating and the shared pool looked lovely though i didn't use the that one. As to the villa itself, it was a little tired with some repair jobs needed (like the downstairs bathroom doorframe). I was also disappointed that though i was there 2 weeks there was no bedding or towel change or mid stay clean. The 'cover' on the bed (not a sheet more like a smaller blanket ' wouldnt have covered 2 people and was so rough, there was fleecey blankets in the wardrobe but these would have been too hot, just a sheet woukd have been fine Cooking facilities were too minimal to actual cook a meal and yhere was neither a grill nor toaster for morning toast.

The location was amazing with wonderful views of the mountains next to the river

The Villa could have been cleaned to a higher standard, we purchased cleaning materials to clean to our standard, the villa is very tired looking with paint peeling from walls and doors

It’s hard to find anything really positive to say about this property. The view from our bedroom window was nice.

Lack of staffing - there was no one to check in or out with. Keys were given to us by a cleaner who happened to still be cleaning the villa when we arrived. Upon leaving we had no option but to just leave the keys in the villa. The property smelt of stagnant water throughout our stay and despite trying to find anyone at the complex to tell/help, no one was interested. The private and communal pools were unheated and on one of the days of our stay the filters all stopped working and the pool became cloudy - again no one was interested in this. The areas around the pools were dirty and in places, broken, as were some of the sun beds and canopies. There was no toaster in the villa as advertised nor was there even a tea towel or anything else you would expect as basics in a self catering villa. The living room air con continuously tripped the fuse box and we had to keep resetting it. The lights on the stairs would randomly come on through the night (these were sensored lights with no option to switch off) and would come on with no one near them. We had no change of towels or bedding during our stay. There was one small gadget to hang only small items on to dry them. The location of this villa was right next door to a venue which caters for events such as weddings and parties and therefore was noisy most nights of our stay.
