Villa Mimpi - Peaceful Oasis at Legian Beach

Big and spacious, staff all friendly and willing to help. Great with the children. Mandi the maid went above and beyond. Gede was always willing to help and was great with my kids.

No Air conditioning in the living areas

Size of Villa. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom ( not fully sealed to external elements & visitors). All bedrooms have an outdoor courtyard or balcony (on first appearance) Pool was good. Located in heart of Legian. Access to good shops, restaurants, beach & all that is required for a Bali holiday. Large kitchen & fridge plus water supplied. Ice able to be made in good volume.

Despite parking space at front for taxi drop off or friend visiting, when the caretaker is onsite - his other motorbike hire business sign & bike’s take up room so it’s hard to get car in for drop off which was difficult when returning from big grocery or Bintang shopping as had to carry from Su’s Cottages in heave rain. As wet season, difficult to get in to gates with umbrellas up due to motorbikes sheltering under gateways. Also if the caretaker turns off external lights - make sure he shows you where the switch is, as it’s hidden & the front yard courtyard is dark & treacherous. Also as staff use courtyards for breaks, phone calls etc, curtains not able to be open during the day in downstairs bedrooms if in use as they look straight in. Of course they need their space but it is disconcerting & not relaxing. Also need a common toilet downstairs for everyone to use plus outdoor showers as chlorine is very strong. Only two bedrooms with TV & no AC in any common areas. Was very sticky in wet season!

It was spacious great having a bathroom in every bedroom . Pool was cool enough unlike some pools in Bali . Location was great walking distance to everything . Villa was cleaned daily . Lovely cafe next door Sus who would deliver ordered food to the door

Nothing would stay again and recommend

Villa Mimpi is in a great location and walking distance to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. The villa was amazing, beds were comfortable, pool inviting. Once you stepped inside the gate off the street you felt like you were somewhere else.

The staff at Villa Mimpi were very kind and helpful though we didn’t feel we had a lot of privacy between the hours of 9am to 3pm. The villa manager also has a scooter/bike hire business that he operates from the front of the Villa. He would come and go as he pleased through the front door to use the side courtyard facilities and also helped himself to the use of the kitchen a few times. Not sure what his understanding is with the owner/property manager but we felt it was rude and not private at all.

The location of the villa was perfect for us...close to the beach and restaurants. The staff were amazing, any issues were sorted immediately and the villa has been well maintained.

Fantastic location and lovely villa. Gede & Made who manage and work for the villa made our stay and were so welcoming.

Great location. Perfect enclosed Villa with beautiful gardens and magic pool set up with day bed and a kabana. Close to beach for relaxing and surfing. Close to major shopping streets, hotels, bars and cafes, but inside the villa compound we could have been anywhere in Bali. Staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, including pickup from airport, day trips and arranging a pool fence for our 3 year old granddaughter. Just the perfect holiday.
