TOP 5 star BALI RESORT Dream VILLA 2 bedrooms with private swimming pool

Cloe to beach yet very far from Uluwatu

Rooms very old and outdated Very minimal lighting unable to shower/makeup etc Shower water smelt like sewerage One of the the main attractions is the beach club with its own traveler later which was not working and has not for quite some time but we where not informed of this when booking Several weddings held and unable to use the main pool area Cleaners maximum 5 minutes each day to clean and even then could not replace the towels they took or the toilet paper. Always caught out and had to call reception Main problem was how humiliated we where made to feel on checkout. All cards declined on both machines but they kept telling us it was our cards so we had no choice but to pay cash that we where very fortunate to have had enough on us. Then to find out later that day that it was the bank that was down yet when we asked them to check the internet or their bank they kept saying it’s your cards. Not a nice way to leave a holiday, not even the manager came out to see what the problem was. Suffice to say I would never stay with the Karma Kandara group again.

We had a great stay at this villa. it appears that it’s located within an infamous Karma Kandara Resort. we had all the privileges included in our rate, which was a pleasant surprise, like discounted rates on the restaurant, spa etc. the villa is nice and well maintained, best regards to the host and the team of the resort!

it was dated and the decorum the room did not match the 5 star hotel rating. the resort itself was locket thought. the room did not have an nespresso machine or mini bar facilities in the room and the rooms were very basic and the beds were not king size. blinds were broken in the room and it was also way too dark in the house . lastly the lift to the beach wasn’t working for guests but did take other items down to the beach so wasn’t broken juts not letting guests use it. very annoying!

The Villa was fantastic, super clean, spacious and great air conditioning. The resort itself is amazing, stunning views (especially from the infinity pool), and friendly staff who go the extra mile, including offering to drive you around the resort on golf carts, which is great as the pathways are quite hilly. They also brought a surprise birthday cake to the villa for my cousin’s birthday on request. The gym was also super clean and good cooling, with adequate equipment and nice touches like fresh towels and anti bacterial spray, with a lovely jungle view.

The downsides were some construction noise near the villa, the food is very expensive (even by Australian standards) and the lift to the private beach was broken, so you had to catch a minibus down a narrow cliff face, walk down some steep steps and walk approx 300-400m to reach the Karma Beach club at low tide, so not suitable for those with mobility issues. On our return to the resort from the beach it was dark and more people waiting than the shuttle allowed, so it was like the hunger games to get a seat. I’d definitely stay again but will bring food to take advantage of the self contained facilities in the villa.
