Casa Museo A' Rina - Palmento Storico Siciliano

First of all Virginia is an amazing host, very helpful and responsive. The house is non less than a real museum. Very spacious and clean. Pure Sicilian vibe. The neighborhood is quiet, beautiful views from the roof balcony. House is equipped with everything needed. pellet stoves on both floors, air conditioners, washing machine, great comfortable beds.

Microwave and coffee machine we're missing for me.

In der Küche fehlt es an Kochutensolien wie scharfe Messer oder überhaupt gute Messer... zum Spülen war nur ein älterer Schwamm... Bzgl Betten ... hinterstes Schalfzimmer: (ich muss dazu sagen, ich brauch echt ein gescheites Bett, gute , nicht durch gelegene Matratzen) das Doppelbett mit einer durchgängigen FEDERKERNMATRAZE , gleicht einem Trampolin... wenn sich einer im Bett dreht, wackelt der andere 10 Sekunden weiter. Nur 1 schmales Kissen pro Bett. Für Oktober war mir dieses dünne Tuch zu kühl.... (Aber wie gesagt, ich bin was schlafen betrifft sehr sensible und anspruchsvoll....) SONST TOP!!! Tolle Aussichten und sehr groß. Ich fände es fair, wenn in der Beschreibung steht, dass es eine lange , relativ steile Auffahrt zum Haus gibt (nachts ohne jegliche Außenbeleuchtung) , die man zu Fuß hochgeht. Im Haus sind es vom EG in dir 2. Etage 35 Stufen! (für gehbehinderte oder ältere Leute kaum machbar)

Very quaint property, lovely farmhouse in a very quiet location with wonderful views. We got the real experience. The hostess Virginia welcomed us so warmly and was very helpful with any questions we had about exploring. I will definitely recommend it to anyone staying near Catania!

Great hostess, I felt like I was staying with family, but in a totally private house.

The house is lovely and spacious, perfect for entertaining.

However, since getting good sleep is the most important factor when choosing a place to stay, I have to give a lower rating. The bed was not very comfortable, perhaps too hard or a bit old, and the most disappointing part was the constant noise from dogs barking day and night. Even with earplugs, we couldn’t sleep well. Unfortunately, this made it a bad experience for all four of us.

Een leuk en groot huis dat echt wel net een museum is. 3 grote slaapkamers met airco. En een dakterras met prachtig uitzicht!

Ook al ligt het huis heel afgelegen, toch er is 's avonds laat veel lawaai van buren en 's nachts heel veel lawaai van blaffende honden. Toch zeker toen wij er waren.

The terrace on the roof with its breathtaking views to Catania bay or Etna were fantastic (especially at night). I would suggest to invest in a good parasol as it can get very hot in the summer during the day. The house is so big and with amazing proportions. We loved it very much. And Virginia the host is very helpful and informative. If we’d known she offers a tour of Etna for free we wouldn’t have booked ours. This is a plus that the host should promote on booking. We definitely recommend.

The property is slightly away from the beaches (minimum 1hour to get to beaches nearby). But very well located to Nicolosi, the closest town with lively bars and restaurants, definitely recommend Osteria Garibaldi, beautiful interior and very good value for money authentic Sicilian food. Our whole week there in August was very pleasant indeed. A car is a MUST!

The house is in a very nice quiet area with a lovely view all around and it was very clean inside ,the host is a very nice lady and she made sure we had all we needed. We really enjoyed our stay . A very big thanks for everthing and for making our stay a great one! 👍🏻
