Traditional house in Asfendiou

Nikos’ traditional stone house is a postcard! So sweet and perfectly comfortable for a couple, would even be fine for families. It’s in a great spot in the middle of the island, you need transport but then exploring by car is so easy. It’s quiet and rural and there are chickens and wildlife all adding to the charm. Nikos lives on Kos island and is helpful and warm and friendly and can give you any advice you need.

The only slight downside for me (possibly a plus for some :D) is that there is no washing machine and we weren’t really there long enough to locate a laundrette so I’d take some handwashing products next time or some extra bits and leave the laundry for when I get home!

This place is lovingly cared for, is well-equipped and is full of old world charm. It is great to be far from the madding crowd, but Kos town is only a 20 minute drive away. There are plenty of eating facilities within a 5 minute drive or a taverna serving simple dishes just 5 minutes on foot. The very touristy Zia is a 5 minute drive.

Not a problem for me but just a warning that this property could be a source of problems for people with mobility issues as the beds have to be climbed into. Unless you just want to sit and relax or walk locally you need personal transport.

emplacement idéal pour découvrir l'île en voiture. A 20min à pieds ou 3min en voiture de Zia, village pittoresque au couchers de soleil époustouflants. Très bien équipé, rien à redire.

Lovely traditional house looked after with care by the host, in probably the most - if not the only - non-hyper-touristy location in Kos. Could happily stay there again.

Nos encantó la casa, en medio de la naturaleza rodeada por árboles de higos. Una casa tradicional pero exquisitamente reformada. Preciosa, con una terraza privada con vistas. Y la amabilidad de Nikos fue de 10. Y la ubicación perfecta, cerca de muchos lugares, desde aquí puedes visitar toda la isla con un coche de alquiler.

Niko the host was lovely and kept in touch. The location was fabulous and we made firm friends with the rooster and his family that lived locally and walked passed our house regularly. The house felt very authentically traditional Greek

We loved our stay here!!! Great location close to all the main attractions on the island and so so quiet. Perfect for those that don't want to be stuck with all the tourists. We'll be back!!!
