Villa Driftwood

The pool was amazing! Larger and deeper than we expected. The views, with mountains/cliffs on 2 sides, sea on 1 and lovely trees on the other, were beautiful. The air-conditioning worked well for us, and was as quiet over night as we've ever experienced. Lovely quiet location close to the madness and heat of beautiful Lindos and the Anglified Pefkos(good for ease of supermarket and boat trips). We didn't have a few problems which we reported to the Management company who responded to us very promptly, sorting out a couple of minor issues also very promptly and explaining why others will take longer.

The unclear directions for and instructions on arrival. Google maps wanted to take us down a dirt track. More useful would be to turn off at and follow the Beach Combers sign. This should be included in their instructions. Also, we needed a 3 digit code to access the keys. This was not provided in advance and caused a tedious delay on arrival. It was a shame the pool lights weren't working. Apparently there is an electrical fault which can only be fixed if all 4 villas' pools are emptied. And the cooker hood isn't working so cooking is in dim light and no fan to remove heat/steam. We were told this was broken by a previous guest and has not yet been resolved. We liked our bed, but our 21 year old twins found their single beds uncomfortable. Pefkos beach is stunning sand. BUT there is no space to lay towels due to loungers and shades being crammed so closely together and right up to water's edge. Horrid! In fact, most beaches are like this. Fine if you like feeling like sardines in a tin so on top of others and are happy to pay handsomely. We will not be returning to any popular Greek island until this practice is stopped and the 2024 law is enforced.

Good location, nice view, the pool is also nice

BEDBUGS!!! We were severly bitten and possibly bought home some as well. All we got is lenghty emails about nothing from the owner. AVOID!! my orginal reivewi: It is as advertised, but in real life the whole place looks like the owner doesn’t reinvest in it at all. Beds are stiff, the couch and all kitchen appliances are VERY OLD, already yellowish wear patches all over. The pool and terrace are nice but practically there is no lighting in the pool and barely some in the terrace area, so it is hard to have a nice time out at night. AC is leaking and there were power cuts - which is communicated up front but only AFTER booking. For this price, this is a terrible deal, one would expect more effort from the owner to take care of a place, which has villa in its name and with such a view & pool

I liked the villa idea with one private pool.

The property was not the cleanest. It could have been a lot better. When we walked in it smelled like moth balls and it was 34 degrees on the Villa. The AC was dripping water on the master bedroom so having to sleep with a bucket under it and water dropping wasn’t fun. It took the whole night of having the AC on to cool off the Villa to 26. There was cockroaches we had them coming in daily. Until we spoke to the owner about this and he said to block the bathtub drain. Just a heads up you cannot leave the house and have the AC running. Even if the kids were sleeping we weren’t able to lock the house and leave because the AC card is welded on the keys. And you only get 1 set of keys. Therefore the whole group had to leave and return the same time.

We enjoyed a good amount of sunshine even in November and explored the island. The sea was warm enough for a swim and sitting by the pool with that view was just perfect!

The villa was spotless. The views were breathtaking, and the pool was our favorite spot! Just a short walk to the beach, making it ideal for morning swims. The hosts were fantastic and always available for any questions. We’ll be back!
