Mahana Farm Cottage

It seems like you are living on your own property with no neighbours, and surrounded by birds, animals and nature. It is so quiet and tranquil. The cottage is located so that it is a short drive to wineries, cafes, beaches and cute villages, with Nelson being only 30 minutes away. Everything in the cottage is of high quality and it is very clean and tidy. Dave is very friendly and made us feel very welcome, and left us lots of delicious breakfast supplies. He also came over when we were leaving to have a chat. Would highly recommend.

Sehr grosse und gut ausgestattete Unterkunft (freistehendes Haus auf dem Land). Wenn man längere Anreisen nicht scheut, gute Ausgangslage für Ausflüge in den Abel Tasman NP und in Richtung Nelson.

Die Mücken, die auf unerklärliche Weise trotz geschlossenen Fenstern doch den Weg in die Unterkunft gefunden haben.

Everything!!! It was quiet beyond belief and the property was exceptional with everything you could want. If only I’d found this peaceful haven before we’d made our plans for the South Island, I know for sure we’d have stayed more than two nights and had more laughs with Dave and Trish, thank you both for allowing us the pleasure of enjoying your wonderful property

Not quite enough breakfast for the four days we were there.

Complicated instructions for use of oven. Tv reception came and went. More seating in lounge would have been great.

An almost kilometre-long driveway into the farm, and set away from the main house, ensured a supremely peaceful, dark location. We very much enjoyed the farm animals surrounding us as we did the luxurious, comfortable cottage. Our wishes were granted when we had a "rain day" on the 4th of our 7-day stay and could stay home ALL day to simply enjoy being "home". 🙂 Dave is a welcoming host, he greeted us upon arrival and was available for any questions we might have. A house manual with all instruction booklets is provided for the many appliances in the fully stocked kitchen. Very comfy bed and linens, lots of towels, strong wifi, every eventuality was well thought out and supplied. The breakfast items left by Dave and Trish were plentiful and delicious, so many different ideas we had a difficult time deciding what to have for breakfast!! ;-) We will definitely return to Dave and Trish's Mahana Farm Stay when next in the Tasman Region. Thank you!!

Everything. Perfect location to try out local wineries. The cottage is very comfortable and cozy. The hosts are super nice. The farm animals on the grounds is a huge bonus for animal lovers.

Would be even better with a more modern telly if staying for multiple days

The accommodation is spacious & everything you might need is provided & it was a treat to find quite a lot of food provided as well. We especially appreciated comfortable seating to relax in & to watch TV. At our age we like to put our feet up so hubby enjoyed the lazy boy chair!
