The property was quiet, I think in a residential area, but nowhere is noisy in Apollonas! I did laugh that the property is called the White House - every house is white so hard to find from description! I arrived after dark but luckily I asked a lady in the taverna to call the host’s number, she knew who she was and sent me to an uncle? at the last taverna who escorted a frazzled me on his scooter to the property. Greek hospitality at its best! I loved the terrace with the hot tub and the views were wonderful The host provided coffee pods and milk but there were none of the sweet treats other reviews mentioned for me! I didn’t meet her but she was available on WhatsApp for any issues There was a washing machine and balcony for drying.

The terrace is rooftop and you have to go up very narrow open stairs to get up there. If I had children or elderly people with me I would not have liked them going up and down in flip flops, bare foot etc to the rest of the property. I’m not sure if this was clear from the description (will have to check). There was no information about the hot tub use/instructions but I managed to work it out. The pathway to the property has had some work requiring it to be dug up (Sept 24) so it is a bit uneven until it is repaired. It was also up quite a steep embankment - again this should be stated for people who may have walking difficulties. I hired a car - this is a necessity in Apollonas as it is an hour from the port. It was cheaper to hire the car for three days than to pay for transfers and this did mean I was able to get out and explore this beautiful side of the island and the villages. But please watch out for the goat herds! To note - Apollonas is dead in the evenings! (This was mid September). It’s busy at lunchtime with visitors from Naxos town but the restaurants were empty (no exaggeration) in the evening. I still got served but it was a unique experience! Food was lovely wherever I went though.

The host was very kind and helpful. Really went above and beyond. The house is lovely and the jacuzzi is great. Apollon is very small so there isn’t many supermarkets but you can easily walk to all the restaurants.

The bed was very uncomfortable and the room was very bright

-the proximity to the neighbors, the properties are close to each other and there is noise, some small problems with locking the door knob and Wifi were solved -the beach is not suitable for swimming, there are big waves compared to the southeast part where the beaches have sand and great calm -a car is a must

The father of the proprietor, Mr. Yiannakis, came to pick us up at the harbour with a van, and brought us up to the location, not before having invited us for a coffee at his bar, To Limanaky, first. Wonderful people, wonderful location, wonderful staying. The fridge was full of any sort of food, fresh water, fresh juices, and so on. The Jacuzzi on the terrace was also a plus. In short, the house is simply a paradise.

Our stay here was wonderful. The hosts were fantastic, left us delicious treats, and ensured our stay was great. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The views from the rooftop are fantastic.
