Andrea's Home

This is a lovely little house in a beautiful location, five minutes drive from Cefalu. Sleeps four easily, but you won't be spending much time indoors. As well as a fabulous pool, the property has several places to sit, sunbathe, read and eat. Our host, Roberto, could not have been more helpful when we arrived, and throughout our stay. The views out to sea and of the aeolian islands is breathtaking.

The property was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. The kids loved the pool and the property grounds.

The house has been very well renovated in keeping with the style of the building, which is an old stone building with thick walls. Even though temperatures were high, we did not need to put on the air-conditioning. We had the whole house and grounds to ourselves, surrounded by nature and bird song. The pool was a very welcome facility in the heat. We had a fabulous time and would recommend Andrea's house to everyone.

That we could only stay 5 nights.. if we come again to Sicilly we would stay longer.

We immediately felt happy, relaxed and at home here. The views are truly breath-taking – the closest Eolian Islands are visible on clear days - and the ever-changing sea is mesmerising. On arrival, our wonderful host, Robi made us espressos while recommending local restaurants, cafes, an independent fruit and veg stall, free parking and various attractions. The generous welcome pack included wine, beer, tea, coffee, juice, crispbread/toast, jams and cake. Exceptionally for a holiday rental, the kitchen was well-stocked with basics, eg salt, pepper, spices, olive oil, kitchen roll, foil, cling, baking paper etc. A storeroom housed extra loo roll, washing-up liquid, hand soap and cleaning products. Other thoughtful and appreciated details included an insect screen on every door and window, faded Frette bed sheets and an ample supply of wooden coat hangers in huge wardrobes. The blissful, sun-drenched pool is easily maintained with a robot cleaner and shaded by two large umbrellas but we favoured the west-facing, ‘sundowner terrace’ for evening aperitivi! This charming, converted olive-farmer’s house oozes character from its huge, stone walls and the sensitive conversion has achieved a clever balance between modern comforts and traditional features. Set on a ruggedly-beautiful, private plot, the hustle and bustle of nearby Cefalu evaporate as soon as you catch sight of the house's 'smiling face’. It was is a magical place to which we hope to return - thank you Robi for an unforgettable holiday!

A house in the nature, quiet and relaxing. And yet only few minutes away from Cefalu. The house is well designed, comfy and cozy, with a pool, charcoal grill, all needed facilities and most important - an amazing view! A lovely stay and I hope I will return for another vacation :)
