Umsinsi Cottage

It was lovely to see that some of our suggestions made previously had been considered - plug points near the bedside tables being one of them. The dark-coloured towels were great! I liked how clean the unit was. Our host was helpful and assisted with refilling our salt cellar when asked:-)

There were a few things that made our stay unpleasant. There were no dishcloths available in the kitchen and, on our 1st evening there, the salt cellar was empty. Coffee provided was inedible due to it being hard. The toilet floor in the 2 single bed room was wet - it appeared as if the toilet was leaking. There were no bathroom mats on the day we arrived. Thereafter, only one bathroom received a mat. The taps in both showers shocked us when we used them. The air is still cold and it would have been nice to have a duvet instead of a thin quilt. The front left stove plate tripped the mains on the DB. There was no Wifi available due to the servers in the area being down. It would have been nice to have been told upon or before our arrival. My travelling buddy came home with bed bug bites from the double bed room. The impression we got was that the cottage had not been checked thoroughly prior to our arrival. When comparing this to other venues in the area, such as Hluhluwe Country Cottages, it falls short of expectations and value for money.
