Castle By The Sea

Location was excellent. Amenities were excellent. Size and layout of suite was incredibly spacious. Suite was endlessly interesting and entertaining with wall after wall of artwork, kickbacks and artifacts. It was like spending the night in an antique museum. Fun place. Location 1K from beach was awesome. The healthy population of bats swooping at dusk for flying insects were very cool and good to see. Balconies and various fruit trees along the perimeter were engaging a wonderful. The grounds were well kept and an interesting fun stroll.

Just the heat in the main part of Suite had no AC. Bedrooms cooled fine. But we were there only for the night before 0430 ride to airport. Fountain was standing water for mosquitos One key for the suite was odd, but not a big deal for the 4 of us.

Natalie arranged the shuttle pick up at the airport and was with the driver and gave us the keys once we got to the hotel. In a way, she checked us in while getting to her hotel so we could go directly to our room. Natalie was very prompt in answering my emails and made me reassured that all was set up. She was very kind.

Several steps to our room which made it difficult with heavy and large luggage. I will say the driver helped us with that. The keys to our room was tricky to open.

We had taken advantage of the paid pick up (and drop off) service that is offered by Castle by the Sea which made things so much easier when arriving at the airport. Host Natalie gave clear and easy instructions for where we needed to go to meet Vangeli the Co-Owner/Driver. Both Natalie and Vangeli are super lovely, helpful and friendly. Both were more than happy to have a chat, answer any questions and give suggestions and directions for where to go for anything we wanted/needed. Our garden bungalow was spacious, comfortable and immaculately clean and tidy. There are plenty of cooking facilities available too. It's an easy 15-20min walk to the beach, restaurants and shops, with a mini market just down the road from the accommodation. We had a really lovely, relaxing stay - thanks so much Natalie and Vangeli!!
