Twamley Farm

Seclusion, the quietness of the farm. It was a beautiful way to spend the night of our anniversary

It was set up well and comfortable. Heaters worked perfect.

We are both tall and the bed - whilst incredibly comfortable - felt short as both our feet were off the end. Not hosts fault at all - ours doe being tall lol.

That I couldn’t stay for longer.

We booked the stable but were advised the morning of arrival that it had been double booked. We were offered a full refund or, a small refund of the difference of room rate and discount for inconvenience to stay in the Shearer’s Hut. I was disappointed to be down graded but I was very impressed and surprised at how lovely the Hut was! I loved the privacy, breakfast provisions (simple, but enough & fitting for the ambience), the outdoor bathtub was a nice touch although not big enough for two people so we didn’t use it. The outdoor fire pit and indoor wood heater was enjoyed.

Some cutlery/pan were dirty and required washing prior to use. The hot water in the kitchen was cold.

The farm is interesting to explore on foot and by mountain bike. The pod is comfortable and well equipped. The hosts are quick to reply and make a delicious picnic pack. Proximity to Maria Island ferry.

We absolutely loved our stay at Twanley farm. It was such a peaceful and grounding place to stay, with the hot tub and all the thoughtful things available to use whilst there made it even more so lovely for our stay. Only regret is not booking the second night.
