Casa Viera

A wonderful family getaway, Early 2022 we wanted to plan a different Christmas and since both were going to be having birthdays worth celebrating, we decided to invite the kids and their families, toddler, teens, and young adults to celebrate with us in a warmer climate over next Christmas. This called for a large house that could accommodate eight people in a comfortable way with all the amenities of home. After browsing a bit, we found Casa Viera located in Buzanada, Tenerife and decided to book it for the two weeks over the holidays. This turned out to be the right decision, the house has plenty of space, nice balconies and outdoors areas, perfect swimming pool and very helpful owners when we needed to ask questions or get the pool cleaned after a day of Calima visiting and filling the bottom of the pool with sand. We had a rentals and getting around is very easy, nice grocery stores close by, Los Cristianos and beaches a few minutes away and plenty of things to see and do if someone wanted to take a break from lounging by the pool or hanging out on the sun terrace or wanted to take a break from just enjoying family time at the house. Driving around the island was also very much fun and amazingly diverse, well worth a day trip. A decorated Christmas tree and some welcome treats were waiting for us when we arrived which was perfect since we had been traveling for a long time due to flight delays, a supper nice consideration by the hand of the owners. The main living room and kitchen area is great for cooking together and having large family dinners. The experience was a home away from home which is exactly what we were looking for.

The house is spacious with a great games/TV room and a kid’s playroom but of course as in any family home there are always a couple of things that you would have liked to be different but that just added to the character and family atmosphere of the place.

Nothing.

It was DIRTY. We had to clean the floor, the fridge ourselves, rewash the dishes, dust was everywhere, outdoor area was not usable, green pool, stainy pillows, dirt. It was raining for a few days but the pool guy was shocked how dirty the pool was and not because of the few days rain. The owner was responsive but after sending the cleaners the 3rd day the outdoor area still looked bad. And it had to be done before our arrival. Barbecue broken. The pictures do not match the reality. Babies sleeping in stainy cots. We left after few days and were charged fully for the stayed days without any discount and extra 230 Eur for cleaning service which was even more ridiculous since the non-cleaningness was the reason we left. Totally it was more than 840 Eur for 2 nights so we were shocked. Do not recommend at all. There are better places for such a big price.

Very spacious and clean. The place is well equipped. We had a great time there. The owners were helpful when we had a problem.
