Vini and his family are great hosts. The location of the Villa is really unique, right next to the rainforest. We saw lots of birds, different monkeys and even a big warane in the river nearby. We came kind of spontaneous for a single night, and Vini made sure we can enjoy the area as much as possible by offering a night tour and a longer hike into the rainforest the next morning. Vini is not only a great host, but also a very experienced guide with like X-ray eyes. It’s crazy how he spots animals that are so well hidden. If we would have had more time, we would loved to stay longer at this place. Thanks again for everything :)

There were no curtains in our room for the panorama window, so there’s a bit of light coming in at night.

This was probably the best part of our time in Sri Lance and we wished to stay longer at that wonderful place. The location is so great with a view from the apartment window and terrace directly on a small river that could be used for swimming. The whole property has an extremely nice and relaxing atmosphere. The family is helping in the small restaurant, providing excellent service and food. We did a full day hike into the rain forest reserve, which was great particularly highlighting the breathtaking view on the Sinharaja rain forest from the top of the mountain and the refreshing swimming under the different water falls. The guide, organised by the owner Vini, was extremely helpful in explaining the biodiversity of flora and fauna of the rain forest. Our two night visit did also include a night trip to see snakes, frogs and some birds. Vini was extremely helpful in organising our trip to his villa by picking us up by car in Galle and organising our transportation to our next stop in Ella.

We had an amazing stay at Vini’s Villa!! Vini and his beautiful family did such a great job and provided us with anything we needed. The location was amazing, directly at the entrance of the rainforest and at a river. From the terrace we could observe monkeys and all kind of birds. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Sri Lanka and also the menu for dinner or lunch was super super tasty! Thank you Vini and your family!!!

We had a lovely two day stay at Vini Villa, the facilities are great (clean and large shower and large bed), the Sri Lankan food that Vini's wife prepares is really good. We did the 6h day tour with Vini in the reserve and the night tour. Both were great, saw plenty of lizards, insects and birds and went swimming in the waterfall. Can only recommend, we had a very pleasant stay.

We highly recommend this incredible guesthouse! Vini Villa is more than a guesthouse, it is being welcomed into the beautiful forest and all it has to offer by an truly hospitable, warm family. Vini is so knowledgeable! He took all the guests on a night tour - we saw Loris, scorpions, lizards, snakes, giant millipedes and all manner of insects! Where Vini goes, he finds the animals. Vini arranged a fabulous day hike for us within the forest reserve. We saw some great stuff and the views were outstanding! back to the villa - the restaurant looks over the river where you can constantly spot beautiful bird life and the sounds of the forest as you enjoy the outstanding food Vini's wife prepares, in enormous proportion s - you will not go hungry here! Vini's wife was also very knowledgeable and helped me greatly with a hiking injury I incurred. We stayed in a huge room with massive windows looking out to the forest, it was super comfortable and spotlessly clean with a terrace. it is difficult to describe just how beautiful this place is. We certainly did not want to leave. However, Vini arranged really good value transport, and when we left for Uda Walawe, he continued to find animals for us to see on the way, including seeing thousands of fruit bats roosting. we only hope we can return to this magic place - soon!

Beautiful setting on a river where you can swim in the river or the natural pool. Bird feeder in front so lots of colorful birds around. Owner and wildlife guide Vini was awesome and took us on a hike in the reserve. The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced.

The room was really lovely, the bathroom and bedroom clean. We had an amazing view over the garden and the river in front of our room, where we could see a lots of colourful birds. The hosts were so kind and friendly and we got delicious food in their restaurant near the room. The tour with vini through the rainforest was really exciting and informative.

This was an truly magnificient experience we have with Vinnie and her family during our trip in Sri Lanka. He is greatest guide, showing his experience and knowleage about the forest, but also very genuine, true, good heart and strong man that want to help his guests to have best experience possible. His wife cooks the delicuious meals for us (best curry we have of all during Sri Lanka trip). Rooms are very clean, spacious, and comfortable. If you planing to visit sinharaja, really recommend this place.

Fantastic location, just minutes away from the jungle entrance. Vini acts as a guide for very reasonable prices and showed us a lot in the rainforest as well as in his own garden.. Rooms are comfortable and everything was clean. The best thing by far was the food - we had been travelling for 2 weeks before we came here and it was by far the best food we had eaten on Sri Lanka!
