Himalayan Villa

Nice property . Location is 20 Mins from city . Midway between Dehradun and Mussoorie . Good view

Absolutely outstanding place with five full bedrooms which was perfect for our large group. Well equipped with all kinds of perfectly working appliances. We had no problem cooking in the huge kitchen. House was huge with ample parking space. The staff were cordial.

Nothing much really except the staff were perhaps a bit low on initiative. Thag didn't bother us much

Only the property was clean. Rest other things were not suitable for a family.

Very poor service from the staff. There is only one person and he was not well so for even small things we have to request him multiple times. There was a constant water related issues in the bathroom, not heated in some bathroom, showers not working properly. Not suitable for babies as there are two floors with it.

the location was a bit far from the city of Dehradun, but it was worth staying, the staff was very helpful, helping us to prepare breakfast and other things, cleanliness was his priority which we liked the most, rooms were spacious enough, overall, we enjoyed our stay at this villa with our family.

The finish and quality of furniture and amenities

The pump house making noise constantly. The internet was weak.

Everything we loved about the property. Closeness to all the amenities yet secluded. Entire property was exceptionally clean. TV was working and had all the apps installed. WiFi was also working and speed was good. Caretaker cooked food which was homely and very tasty. We were two families with 4 kids ranging from one year to 7 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This vill can easily accommodate 12 persons.

The Care taker Mr.Kheem took good care of us and the pet dogs were the icing on the cake. The cleanliness was excellent. Please keep it up.

The villa was kept nice and tidy. Big space outdoors, as well as a nice terrace at the top floor. It's in a nice area, in the outskirt of Dehradun, about 1 hour drive to Mussoorie and 30-50 minutes to Dehradun (depending on traffic). Kheem, the housekeeper, was very nice and helpful.

Water pressure was very low for hot water. The mattresses were really thin.

It was a lovely villa.

It was impossible to get to in a bus. Very narrow windy roads.

Place is quite good and a lot of effort has gone into setting it up. However, if you are a person who enjoys going for walks in the mornings/ evenings, this place may not allow you to do that. The approach road for the place is not so great and we had a tough time finding the place.

The caretaker seems absolutely indifferent during most of our week-long stay. He was unwilling to share where to get groceries/ vegetables from. Even though this is a self-catering villa, one expects the local caretaker to be able to help/guide procure groceries/ vegetables (paid by the guest) while the caretaker at this villa had only one answer to everything - nothing is available here and everything needs to be bought from the market which is 2.5 to 3kms from villa. This was incorrect info coz the owner herself rightly shared that a vegetable vendor comes at the door everyday and there were grocery shops 500m from the house. In a new place (with not great access to the city) and with small kids, we were left to figure all this out by ourselves. He did cook the meals well for us once we got all the raw materials but his attitude was not inviting at all. Lastly, room cleaning/ garbage collection was done ONLY ONCE in the entire week. We had to really pursue the caretaker to change linen/towels as well (he was unwilling) but again, once-a-week cleaning when you live with kids was not a great experience for us. Overall, we enjoyed our stay because of our own efforts and the caretaker did not really do anything to make the stay comfortable for us. The place has very good reviews but it does not seem to have met our expectations as such.
