Sky Harbour

Sky Harbour is a very beautiful cottage with sensational views across Kaikoura and the ocean. The night skies are unbelievable. Craig was very helpful with instructions and preparing the cottage for our arrival, including having the heat pump on so that the cottage was lovely and warm. He had also left plenty of supplies for breakfasts on the two mornings we stayed. I thoroughly recommend Sky Harbour to anyone staying in the Kaikoura area and wanting a beautiful peaceful place to stay.

A super quirky mix of original charm and character with some mod cons. An unusual little gem in a quiet, convenient and beautiful location. Air con means you can have your ideal temperature when you’re ‘at home’. A plug-in 2-burner electric stovetop is ample for simple meals and just adds to the charm of the property. Impressive 4-poster bed that’s very comfortable.

The cottage is out of the way which I liked but close enough to get in to the local town when needed. The furnishings could be quite romantic for a couple.

For the price, there didn't seem to be laundry facilities. There were plenty of things for kids to do but only one permanently set up queen bed. The offered breakfast seemed fairly basic.

A private stone cottage with enough elevation to provide stunning views across the hinterland and, if the weather gods favour you, sunrises and a night sky to die for. Just 5 mins drive from Kaikoura's "cbd" this cottage is very thoughtfully curated with a fabulous selection of breakfast provisions. The host, Craig is very responsive and helpful. Book immediately

Nothing to dislike; the bathroom is upstairs ensuite with the bedroom - those with mobility challenges just check the photos prior to booking.

The location is wonderful. Away from the main road and touristy town centre but super convenient too. The house is quite quirky in its layout but really well presented. It's clear the hosts really care.

Kitchen is slightly unconventional with no cooker or hob (portable hot plates provided worked fine though). big bbq area outside would work well I imagine for a longer stay but we were only overnighting.

Location is lovely, off the beaten path. Craig was very nice.

GPS of the address is to the owner's house, not the rental, which confused us. The last mile to the rental is on a gravel road.
