Ta' Peppi

A beautiful house on a quiet street (wasn't high season) and very easy parking. The house was big and full of natural light with a lovely deck and pool. Very comfortable beds in pretty, good size rooms with modern bathrooms. The kitchen/living/dining area was particularly well laid out with two sets of double doors to the deck and outside dining. A very nice and well stocked kitchen area. We were very lucky and had no neighbours on either side for the entire week! It was a short and pretty walk to the church square with bar/restaurants and a bakery. Only a 10/15 minute walk to the breathtaking views along the cliffs and the paths to Xlendi and Mgarr.

Nothing that spoiled our stay but just a couple of things that need attending to; - one of the burners on the gas hob had rusted and wouldn't therefore ignite - no knobs/handles on the kitchen/dresser doors - no shade at all on the deck but probably too windy for umbrellas/awnings - lounge furniture only enough for 7 but not for 10 - some serving dishes would be useful - one frying pan was rusty and unuseable

Just got back from a week long stay in Ta peppi. Very spacious property and was perfect for our trip. The pool was nice , clean and very deep. Plenty of space outside with the table and loungers. Lovely view over to the old citadel which is lit up at night and a short drive to victoria.

Only a few minor issues. The dishwasher sprays everything with filth so you'll end up re washing most things by hand. when i saw the other reviews about this i dismissed them but its rather annoying. Lots of silly things such as all the sofas missing a foot and half the bathroom windows hinges are totally rusted. All the wardrobes and draws missing at least 1 handle. One of the bathroom showers is missing the door. Just little bits neglected but nothing that would put me off coming again.

The home itself is great. Good sized living area pool area, spacious double rooms all with en-suite bathrooms.

Our stay was ruined by the incessant noise from three adjacent building sites. Only Sunday we enjoyed some tranquility, pity we had to check-out. We were warned about this - but only a week ahead of our stay when we couldn't find alternative accomodation. Noise nuisance had been ongoing for at least 6 weeks. 45 minutes waiting for somebody to check us in. WIFI was weak. Oven filthy (we did not use at all), some furniture needs fixing. No pods for dishwasher or washing machine.

Good property layout

Constant building work two doors along who would start drilling at 7am in the morning. This caused lots of brick dust which affected the inside and outside of the property. Due to the noise we were not able to enjoy the pool or outside facilities. The company are not taking responsibility of knowing about these building works despite their being a displayed planning application and they have an agent that lives on site. We have sent a complaint to Martinu Homes and they have not responded. We feel that we have been misled and are seeking compensation for a spoilt holiday due to these works. We also suffered two leaks in the bathroom requiring the plumber to call out twice. Until these building works have completed I would personally avoid all the Martinu Homes properties in this area.
