Super Value 3 Bed, Central Seminyak, Walk to Beach

The villa was very nice, set up well with the bedroom, living areas and pool with sunbed and upstairs alfresco. The hosts were great and very accommodating and the breakfast each morning was also good. There was also security outside our villa overnight. A very pleasant stay.

The villa probably needed some maintenance done with holes in the walls and on the floor near the pool. The water pressure for the showers was also not very good and some of the toilets were very hard to flush properly.

Beautiful villa. Great size for a private pool, breakfast was nice, Close to everything including a beach, restaurants, shopping. Will come again if staying in Semiyak.

Two villas make up the Taman Sari Villas..Villa Altius was the one we stayed in. Villa was down a small gang,but very central. Easy 5 to 8 minute walk to nice restaurants and shops. Pool was very large, cleaned daily and nice shallow steps to get in and out...one of the best villa pools we've used...and there have been plenty over the years of visiting Bali. Lovely staff cooked a fabulous breakfast daily for us in the villa, very attentive, efficient and helpful. Beds large clean and comfortable. Security just outside the Villa door all night, felt very safe. Quality decor with plenty of seating inside and out...Mozzie spray is a must as the gardens are lush and well established, so plenty of Mosquito activity at night sadly, but that's a given in Bali not the fault of the Villa. All in all, a really lovely clean and comfortable Villa...well worth the money.

The palm trees are very tall and look like they need to be cut. They could be really dangerous in high winds, as they are hanging directly above and over the pool area. The outdoor shower in the main bedroom could be improved. It was full of rock debris and needed a good tidy,it looked unfinished and uninviting. The toilet seat off the kitchen was completely broken and unusable for ladies...gents don't need a seat ..lol There is not much privacy, unfortunately.☹️ The staff quarters are in a room outside but joined to the Villa all day and walk past the pool several times a day. They are lovely staff, but they will be in and out of the Villa garden/ pool area ,many times a day every day. They did try to keep their comings and goings to a minimum, but the pool area is a thoroughfare, unfortunately, it's just the design of the Villa. There was also two large nesting rats in the gardens,we saw them several times in our 3 days there, so unless they put down bait, there will be many more! With lush gardens, I understand it's inevitable, but pest management would be good before there are more of them. That said, our stay was still very enjoyable and I would still recommend Villa Altius...just a few maintenance tweaks and it would be a 10/10 from me instead of an 8.

Delicious breakfast freshly prepared each morning by the staff at the villa. Villa has a huge amount of space and I wished I could have stayed for another week. very quiet location but also only a few minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of Seminyak.

Some areas of the villa are looking a bit dated and tired and the shower pressure wasn't as good as it could be but for how much we paid I was more than happy and wouldn't hesitate to book another stay here.
