Villa Tira - Elegant 3BR in Central Seminyak

Good location, big pool, bedrooms and bathrooms.

Older villa that requires Maintenance, Poorly maintained, deck around pool is loose and sharp for kids feet. Door seals are Falling apart so have to be super careful as glass on glass and had chipped in places. Glassware needs replacing, only one glass with mugs. Paid a more premium price for the photos.

The pool was lovely and the pool area/open living was really nice for the group we had. Each bedroom had a nice bathroom, aircon, and a TV with netflix which was all great. The bathrooms were clean - and the fanciest part of the accomodation. We mostly had lovely staff, but did have a few issues with others.

Although it's "in the heart of seminyak", it's at least a 15 minute walk (minimum) to the strip of shops. You're located about 20 minute walk from the beach too - in the middle of a rice field area - which was pretty, just far away. The beds were extremely hard, which I know is more common in Bali than Aus - but they were so hard I couldn't sleep. I ended up taking the cushions off the dining room chairs to try to soften the bed so that I could sleep. You're 1/7 Villas - which are all build side by side. The downside to this is that the back of your bedroom wall (where your head is) is aligned with the only grasses area of the neighbouring vila. We had horrible neighbours, music so loud, screaming, banging on our wall, moving furniture etc until midnight. We contacted the villa hosts multiple times, and nothing was resolved for 2 hours. It was extremely frustrating. We highly considered booking new accomodation - but given we have already spent almost $4K Australian - we couldn't justify it. Shuttles from the airport were an additional $25-30AU, which in a taxi the trip would be about $8AU. We were charged $50AU for ink on the bedsheets for my partners tattoo - we did expect some charge, but this felt over the top. For the amount of money this villa costs, I wouldn't say it's worth it. Sure - if it was half the price I think it would be amazing, but for sign a high figure investment it didn't feel "worth it".
