Sitara Weligama

It’s must be 5 star resort hotel , which we choose for last 3 nights of staying in Weligama! It was the worst experience in Sri Lanka - manager never been in the hotel , I have to call her and she never fixed any issues of our staying She wasn’t even trying to help - huge cockroach in the room - no WiFi in the room , have to to lobby where a lot of mosquitoes - they wrote I can order lunch and dinner for extra money , to get that I have inform the hotel 3 hours before , so we have to take taxi and get food from outside - room facing the bridge and road , in the morning is very loud and you can’t really sleep -Sink in the bathroom was always licking once you open the water - we paid for 5 stars resort and we got 2 star hotel

Room very comfortable; entire place is chic and peaceful; staff treat you very well also

Staff don’t speak enough English

There was this one staff, didn’t get her name but I think everyone is aware of her attitude so you know who I am talking about. She was so unwelcoming and rude. Constantly giving dirty looks. Wouldn’t really come back or recommend. I wouldn’t come back.

I liked that it was small and very personal. Staff were super friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was superb!

We ate the best breakfast and dinner in Sri Lanka here! Ask the team when you arrive to prepare dinner for you, you will not be disappointed! The hotel is very aesthetically pleasing and calm.

The property manager is not on site which is surprising, the team in the hotel speaks limited English. They will call the property manager if there are questions or concerns. Also the bed was on the firm side for us.

A secluded, beautiful property that comes with beautiful sunrise, passionate staff and a perfect lap pool. Love it.

It’s on the far end of Weligama and a hill away from Merissa, so travelling by tuk tuk to either is necessary.

Great location in Weligama (very close to the shore), super good breakfast and good service (very friendly & helpful staff) while the villa is right by the river and is nicely furnished.

Not much to say. I would love returning to Weligama and staying at the Sitara Weligama.

The house ， the view ，and the girls' smiling are all so beautiful! The house itself is a work of art.I actually like the furnitures in the rooms.the bed is so cozy and comfortable that we all had the best sleep in Srilanka.the breakfast is Amazing too!
