The Cottage 39 Steyn

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage 39 Steyn ..It was clean comfortable with great hostesses

We’ve been on holiday in South Africa for several weeks and this has been my favourite stay. The cottage is beautiful - an artistic, tranquil open plan, light filled space. The living area is super comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped (and the homemade snacks on arrival were thoughtful and welcoming touch!) Stairs lead to the upstairs bedroom which again is a light filled, comfortable space. The highlight of my afternoon was a dip in the pool before unwinding on the veranda - a peaceful spot to sit and enjoy the views and quiet surroundings. Just fabulous! In terms of location, the cottage is ideal, with shops and restaurants a short, safe 10 min walk away. If you’ve got the browsing time, don’t miss House of Books (located on Van Riebeeck Street). It’s a place where the books will find you if one is prepared to give it the time.

Great setting and very quiet and quaint.

The mattress wasn't the most comfortable, but that could just be me. Everything else was excellent and well appointed.

Great location,peaceful,beautiful and lovely view. Hosts were wonderful,very helpful and thoughtful.

Super host. Comfortable accommodation in nice setting close to restaurants and shops. Great break away from the hustle and bustle. Never got to use the pool but looked great.

We self catered but had access to basics like milk sugar jam etc

Could have had a little more space to put clothes

The Cottage on Steyn is a most charming spot to stay with lots of space, great facilities, even a terrific fire for a chilly evening: and host Teri could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Thank you!
