The place was as described, clean and could have made for a perfect holiday

The pool was the main reason for booking this villa as it was heated and my little boy is obsessed with swimming and it's his sensory thing as he is Autistic non-verbal. We get in the pool and notice the chlorine smell hits you immediately. However, we thought maybe it was because the water is heated, which makes it smell stronger. We were in the pool for 30/40 minutes before getting out as my little boy was pulling at his swimsuit uncomfortably, on taking it off he had red marks under his arms and inner thighs, this was a new suit so I put it down to rubbing. Day three the redness had gone so we returned to the pool with a different swimsuit for my son, again for 30/40 minutes and again my son became uncomfortable pulling at his suit. I immediately got him out and suit off. My 6-year old son is covered in blisters and is bleeding on his bum and inner thighs from chemical burns!! After showering him off as he screamed in pain and seeking medical attention we contacted the property manager to inform them. The pool maintenance arrived and tested the water and told me yes it is a little bit high but okay. It was not and I pointed this out to him. It was a very self-explanatory test regardless of the language barrier the Ph was far too low and the chlorine was far too high. I took a photo and sent it to someone I know who works in this area to confirm. The owners arrived to check the situation and told me he would be fine in a couple of days and the pool would be treated and ready for use again tomorrow!! I could not believe what I was hearing, they were looking at my son lying on a bed in pain, scared not understanding what happened, with blood still on the sheets reacting like he had a small rash. They tested and treated the pool every day for the next nine days and every time it failed the chlorine was so high and the pH so low but they repeatedly told us it was okay. A specialist pool company came out and tested it in the end and confirmed this.

Die Unterkunft ist nicht sehr gut geeignet für zwei Pärchen, da die beiden Badezimmer im selben Raum sind und nur durch das Milchglas der Duschen getrennt werden, welches oben offen ist. Zudem ist die Badezimmertür vom zweiten Schlafzimmer nur eine Glasschiebetür, was bedeutet, dass man vom Schlafzimmer alles von den beiden Badezimmern hören kann. Wir fühlten uns dadurch sehr unwohl, wenn man auf die Toilette musste.

It was super clean and very contemporary with everything we needed. The grounds and pool were really lovely. Even when it was windy we were sheltered within the garden walls. The beds were hard but we like that, the sun beds were comfy. The linens and towels were in great condition and clean. They were changed mid stay as were there for 8 nights. We had everything in the kitchen we needed including crockery, pots and pans, washing machine, dishwasher etc. The villa host kept in touch via whattsapp which worked well.

It didn’t matter to us as we had a hire car, but nothing in walking distance so you must have a car. Pillows tiny and only one per person, luckily I took my own.

Lovely clean and spacious. Location is quite and an easy walk to bars and restaurants.

only a few things let the villa down Very poor lighting around the Front gate and Front door a bit of a struggle with keys We had a problem with the tv not working and even asked if someone could come around and sort it but no one came ?
