Villa Corralejo Beach

It was a wonderful villa; cool and calming, it had all the amenities we needed for cooking too. A lovely clean pool, which was great to cool down in the heat of the day. Towels and bed linen provided were good. Very quiet and safe location, but also very close to shops and bars if you want them. Private off street parking was a bonus too. The villa lay out would be great if you have younger children and if you’re staying up later, as the bedrooms are separate to the living room/kitchen. Lots of seating and sun beds outside to make the most of the great weather. Handy to have two separate toilets and showers. The TV was modern (we used our Netflix account) and the WiFi worked well.

Being totally picky, as there weren’t really any faults; but the shower pressure was low so not very powerful and the two sofas weren’t very comfortable for relaxing in the evening. Also (being English) there’s no kettle, but we did use a pan to boil water, however there’s a good coffee machine and toaster.

The outdoor space was big and comfortable.

Quiet and relaxing a beautiful residence.

A rental car is needed to get around conveniently. We knew this and rented a car at the airport.

We loved the pool (not heated but not necessary in the summer), AC in the bedrooms, outdoor seating, kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine and it was helpful having 2 bathrooms with the kids. There was plenty of hot water for showers in the evening. It had everything we needed and the kids used the WiFi and TV in the mornings. We were grateful for the break and holiday.

The property is tired but the miss-matched crockery, cutlery and furniture can be overlooked. The villa clearly was once top of the range with the jacuzzi (no longer working) and the inbuilt sound system in every room (also not working). The dripping taps, toilet and shower were the most frustrating for such a dry climate. The villa just needs a good handyman. I'd read the reviews before arrival so none of these were a surprise to me.

Villa was a great location, in a gated community. 25 minute walk into the town or there’s a taxi rank 5 minutes from the villa.

Nothing really, apart from the pool did start to turn green towards the end of the week. Other than that it was a very enjoyable stay
