"Not what we expected"

5.0

For the good the views were spectacular of vineyards, flowers mountains, and the beautiful Trequanda village, about a half a mile walking on foot to the village with a small church bar vegetarian place to eat and a Michelin restaurant that was pretty good with nice views and a pharmacy The table outside the villa was very nice for nice lunches or dinners. If the weather is nice it has an umbrella and you can take in all the spectacular sunsets as well. Giovanni welcomed us with a basket of goodies, including wine, biscotti, and other sweets he beds are pretty comfortable as well as the pillows and all the rooms there’s also a terrace on the second floor that overlooks the valley, which is very nice. You can take in some sun or have a glass of wine out there and enjoy the views and also the village of Trequanda

The bad was that the drive up the dirt road with many potholes and crevices so the drive had to be extremely slow, which was not mentioned in any of the reviews. It’s about a quarter of a mile of dirt road with big rocks and dips once you get to the property itself a three-point turn to go up into the property where there are more rocks, taking the bags down is a bit of a challenge as well as there are many many steps outside the villa as well as inside the house once you get into the house it’s multi leveled. The kitchen is fairly small with a laundry room with four steps going up and you have a Dining area we have a small bathroom in the lower floor, which is very small someone too tall will not be able to fit. You’ll bang your heads a few times. Moving up to the second floor. You have three bedrooms the floors are pretty uneven everything seems to be from the early 1900 nothing has been changed or modernized , two bathrooms just one with a shower and the other bathroom has one tub that’s basically useless. There are three Air Conditioning one in each room where you can also put the heater if you wish. The downstairs lower floor has a living area with a sofa and a TV, which is inhabitable really because the smell of mold is not tolerable. Three steps down to another room. There is a billiard table, but the smell of mold in that room is even worse, even when we tried to air it out. Maybe the lighting in the entire entire house needs upgrading there isn’t enough light anywhere not the living at the kitchen and not the dining. They need to update that. The Ugly: in addition to all that, we had to cohabitate with all kinds of creatures bugs, ants flies, and they were just coming out of everywhere, especially the bugs. They were on the window on the toilets, soaps, shower. They were everywhere….these hard bugs that we had to kill the entire time . The kitchen had aunts that needed spraying.
