"Location probably the best in the area."

Location is the first point, 360 degree views of the coast and Etna. Just the crickets at night. Fantastico! The road up and the driveway are a challenge but you soon get used to it. We arrived in pitch darkness which added to the challenge. Highpoints, Etna hike up to Filosofo crater, hike up to Castelmola, Alcantara gorge, Taormina Town, Taormina Beach and the Isola Bella. Plenty to fill up a week.

Kitchen is primitive and dated, we would have liked to cook more. The garden lights didn't have a switch, we wanted temporary darkness to see the stars and thunder storm. Wasps, made it virtually impossible to eat outside during the day, but OK in the evenings. All minor points.

"Like something out of a movie, once-in-a-lifetime location and views."

Views were stunning, incredible, once-in-a-lifetime! Seeing Etna in the distance spewing out her larva and the Med on the other side shimmering in the sunshine - absolutely stunning. Antonio was a great help with bookings, advice and all practicalities. Vineyard visit and wine tasting on Etna was superb. Taormina ancient theatre also interesting. The property itself was perfect with a gorgeous pool and plenty of space for 10 people never to feel cramped. Air con worked great, which is essential in the heat, although the sea breeze is nice.

The only downside is that it is very remote and the access is steep and tricky by car. Once you get used to it, there is no problem, but at first it’s challenging. The road is like something out of a James Bond movie, but then the location is as well, so that’s what makes it so special.

"A perfect villa"

Peacefull, quiet, fantastic host, quality, villa facilities, spectacular views, everything we value in a good holiday.

It was a trek to get to the villa but well worth the journey

"Exceptional"

This Villa is spectacular. Words cannot explain what a true gem this place is. The host was very friendly and accommodating. The views from the Villa are breathtaking. If you really want a place to unwind and relax this is the perfect place. The route to the Villa is not easy however it is worth it!

"Perfect place!"

We loved everything about A casa du Rumanu - the villa was immaculate, spacious, beautiful & tranquil. The owners were lovely & thoughtful to say the least. We cannot recommend this place enough it was absolute paradise... seriously do not hesitate to book this accommodation!

Nothing! It was absolutely perfect - such a delight to stay there.
