The Views and Spa 4BRM

While this property is highly rated for its views, our pre-arrival experience was nothing short of a nightmare. We are deeply disappointed by the host’s substandard service and their disregard for guest data security. 1. Serious Security & Privacy Concerns: The host repeatedly demanded full photos of our credit card (including the card number, expiry, and CVV/Security Code). Given that our DBS card displays all this sensitive info on one side, we expressed legitimate concerns about identity theft and credit card fraud. Although the host initially agreed via the platform that we could mask certain digits and the CVV for security, they later reneged on this agreement. 2. Communication Breakdown & Incompetence: By our check-in date (March 29th), despite having completed the online check-in as previously agreed, we were still denied the access code. The host claimed we hadn't checked in, ignoring our prior correspondence and the safety compromises we had already made. 3. Lack of Support from Booking.com: Even after escalating this to Booking.com, the platform failed to resolve the issue, simply echoing the host’s unreasonable demands for unmasked sensitive data. This is a clear failure to protect customer information and provide basic hospitality service. Conclusion: A beautiful view cannot compensate for a host that lacks professional communication and basic respect for guest security. We spent the start of our trip in extreme stress and frustration rather than enjoying our holiday. To future travelers: if you value your financial security and mental peace, think twice before booking this property. The management is rigid, unhelpful, and unprofessional. Unbelievable Administrative Failure To make matters even worse, when the host finally sent the access code, they had incorrectly modified our check-in date to a day later than our actual paid reservation. We were left speechless by such incompetence.

I liked the location.

The Customer service was not flexible and I think not polite as well. They sent me this message: Hi Ahmed, The housekeeping team will be on-site at exactly 10 am to start the exit clean. Please make sure you have vacated the villa by 10 am, as per the check-out time. This includes removing any vehicles from the driveway; the housekeeping team need access to the driveway to take their cleaning supplies, and all linen and towels into the villa for our new guests. Exceptional views from almost every room, and the location at Fern Hill was not an issue. The property is a spacious 4 bedroom home. Outside spa bath was a winner, as was the open gas fire in the lounge room. All high end appliances made living there for the week easy. Lovely comfy beds and furniture.

The driveway to the garage was restrictive to drive our vehicle to undercover parking, so we had to park on the street even tho the garage itself was huge in size There was no bath inside the property which was a bit tricky with two small children. The freezer side of the fridge was over-frozen; so this needs the drain to be cleared( I have the same fridge at home)

It was uncomfortable with an infant. I didn’t realise there were so many stairs I would have paid extra to have a baby gate at the top of the stairs. Maybe this is something you can offer guests with infants/toddlers. I couldn’t fully relax I had to watch her like a hawk so she doesn’t fall down the stairs

This was our second stay at The Views. First was with 3 couples and this time it was with 3 generations of family. It works great for everyone.

The drive way, but we managed. A few condiments such as spices and sauces would have been great. Also more spare toilet paper rolls in bathrooms.
