Umah Ilu Island Retreat Penida

The staff is very friendly. The breakfast offered mutiple choices. Guests needed to pre-book their preferred type and time for breakfast, and the next day the staff would deliver it to their rooms. The taste was quite good. As for the location, it's just a few minutes away by motorbike to a street with restaurants. That street also has many diving centers.

Nothing. The hotel water is saline, but as far as I know, this is common on the island. The staff put a big bottle of purified water on the counter for teeth brushing.

Staffs are super helpful. Rooms are well planned with unique setup. A different stay experience. Must try in Nusa Penida.

Roads connecting to the resort are steep & in a bad shape. Need to be extra careful. No restaurants close by so need to drive down the hill to get food.

Although it is a bit further in and simple, it is nonetheless very beautiful place and tranquil. Best part is that the service: staff are extremely efficient, helpful and responsive. Food is great and delivered punctually! The best service we experienced in Nusa Penida. Highly recommended!

It is further in, and my friend is immobile in crutches, so a car is needed. Otherwise it's perfect and we'd like to stay longer! Thank you Umah Ilu!

Umah Ilu should be considered a bed & breakfast as there are no other facilities or services onsite. The pool shown is only accessible from one room. Even though Uma Ilu is not located in a busy area it can get quite loud on weekend nights due to the beach clubs located on the foot of the hill.

The rooms are super clean and comfortable! We really liked that the staff brought us to the restaurants every time and also picked us up (for free). Just know that there's no swimmpingpool and it can be really hot at Nusa Penida. Also the location is a bit far from restaurants. Umah Ilu Island Retreat is on a hill so not really nice to walk to the center. So you need a scooter or ask them to bring you to a restaurant. Overall we really loved our stay! They organized different tours for us such as a island tour and snorkeltrip, both were great. Thank you so much for everything!

The place is amazing, in the top of a hill, immersed in the green of the island. Our room was tiny but so beautiful, I loved to stay there. The staff is lovable and very kind. The breakfast was always amazing! Really recommended

The setting of Umah Ilu Island Retreat was so lovely - it was so peaceful and gorgeous! The staff were amazing and so accommodating and helpful. Would definitely recommend for a stay on Nusa Penida.
