Zante Lagos holiday homes Treehouse and Villa

We stayed in the dreamy treehouse for two weeks in August and it was absolutely fantastic! The pictures really don’t do it justice, the view from the balcony is breathtaking; you can see the most amazing sunrises directly from the window! The treehouse itself is well built, comfortable and very clean. The bed is a good size and we slept very well, I’d recommend earplugs if you’re a light sleeper like me. The best part of our stay, however, was our wonderful host Nikos and his family. Nikos is the most incredible host, he helped us to arrange airport transfers from him and scooter hire - both were good value. You can also order meals (breakfast & dinner), freshly cooked and brought to the treehouse at a time of your choosing. These meals are all homemade by Nikos’ wife using the freshest ingredients from their farm - the breakfast was the best we’ve ever had and so reasonably priced. The treehouse has an air conditioning unit installed which was a huge relief in the heat of August. The hot tub is amazing, we were worried it would be too hot to use but we spent many an evening in it watching the stars - there is very little light pollution so the night sky really is beautiful, we saw so many shooting stars! The treehouse is situated in a private garden with various seating options, it’s so peaceful. I’d highly, highly recommend this accommodation - we will definitely be back!

The tree house is a really unique and cute construction, had its own garden area (it is not completely isolated from the villa). Bath amenities were provided, along with sparkling clean sheets and towels. The interior of the tree house was nice and the view was nice as well.

It is impossible to stay inside the tree house from 8am until 10pm in the night as it gets very warm and there is no air conditioning. During the night, the breeze was more than enough and was actually enjoyable. We had a very awkward welcome during check in when Nikos realized we had a large dog with us (which was allowed on booking and on another platform where it was also clearly stated he allows pets on the Tree House. He told us in exact words “if the dog falls, it’s not my responsibility” which was totally unnecessary as if we would blame him. There are many ways to say things and this was not the right approach and even though we appreciated he didn’t cause any inconvenience it didn’t feel very welcoming. The next day at the time of the checkout he approached and told us he is checking the tree house before we leave. I thought it was a good idea to let him know that we felt weird about the welcome the day before and I told him he also states on other platforms and not just booking that he allows pets and maybe he should change it. His response was that we are lying and it’s only the villa that allows pets ON request and. We showed him the screenshot of the tree house listing (both on booking and another platform) with pets allowed and he just wouldn’t admit it. As you can probably imagine he modified his listings just a few hours later.
